Hello,

We have been to WDW 4 years ago when we had no kid, stayed outside of Disney, and packed food.
Now we have a 2.5 year old DD and going for 2 weeks (13 nights) in December, just before she turns 3. We booked Free dining package and staying at CBR. Got 4 day park pass + Waterpark & more

This is what we have so far in terms of ADR and I wonder if it seems okay as first time disney diners.
Your advice will be greatly greatly appreciated!!!

* I have modified the plan to be like this. I wonder if it sounds better *
<Dinner>
Day1: flight arriving at 6PM. Do QS for dinner
Day2: Hollywood & Vine (HS)
Day3: The Wave (MK)
Day4: Chef de France (Epcot)
Day5: Boma (No theme park - maybe WP or Mini-golf or DQ or visit other resorts)
Day6: Tusker House (AK)
Day7: CRT (MK)
Day8: Ohana (No theme park - maybe WP or Mini-golf or DQ or visit other resorts)
Day9: Cape May (HS or AK)
Day10: Crystal Palace (MK)
Day11: Sanaa (Mini-golf and check out AKL area earlier before dinner and after dinner)
Day12: Akershus (Epcot)
Day13: 1900 Park Fare (No theme park - maybe WP or Mini-golf or DQ or visit other resorts)
Day14: Brunch at Chef Mickey's. Flight back at 5pm (leaving the resort around 2:30 I was told)

*Original Plan*
<Dinner>
Day1: flight arriving at 6PM. Do QS for dinner
Day2: Boma (no park - DS)
Day3: The Wave (MK)
Day4: Cape May (no park - stay in the resort and rest)
Day5: Tusker House (AK)
Day6: Chef Mickey's (no theme park - Water Park)
Day7: CRT (MK)
Day8: Ohana (no park - Disney Quest)
Day9: Sanaa (no park - Mini-golf)
Day10: Crystal Palace (MK)
Day11: 1900 Park Fare (no park)
Day12: Not decided yet - maybe Hoop-Dee-Doo or CG (no theme park - Water Park)
Day13: Whispering Canyon (no park)
Day14: Flight back at 5pm (leaving the resort around 2:30 I was told)

As for lunches, QS when we're not at the park, I am thinking of visiting Boardwalk Bakery, Contempo Cafe, Capt.Cook's, Roaring Fork, and Wolfgang Puck express. Are there any recommendations?

Thank you again.

We did tusker house breakfast with our 2 year old and it was our favorite meal of the trip. food is sooooo good! and the character interactions were great as well. Sanaa was amazing! hopefully your reservation is early enough to still see the animals. We were lucky enough to get a table right against the window so my son got a great view! food was delicious too! at 1900 park fare we had dinner and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. the character meet wasn't huge for us, we just wanted a buffet close to MK.
for any lunch out the park Wolfgang puck is always our favorite!
have an amazing time!

Thank you, KTwiegs.
I booked Sanaa at 5:10, because in December sunsets earlier and we didn't want to risk not seeing anything because it is too dark. Is that a good time?

perfect time! use your daughters cuteness factor to try and get a table in front of the window. my son was crying because we had to leave the outside area, he wanted to keep watching the animals, so the hostess changed our table to in front of the window. it was an amazing bit of pixie dusts! the bread service and the butter chicken were so so so good.!

I see!! That's great! :) I am quite excited about Sanaa both because of the views and the food.
For us, it is not a park day, so we are planning to stay as long as we could.
BTW, do you think sharing 1 TS between 3 of us would be too small? We hear that portion is very big (we're from Canada) and we're planning to do restaurant tour just prior to our dinner.

The only thing I see with the plan that I dont like is a LOT of resort to resort hopping to eat which can be problematic and really eat up a lot of time.

Thanks Mousetopia. Yes, I think that would be an issue too, as there is no direct resort-to-resort transportation. I heard it can take upto 1.5 hours! Our plan is to go to other resorts well in advance of dinner time, take a look at what it is like and stroll here and there. My daughter loves trains, ferries, and buses, so we consider that as part of 'attraction' for her, which would make it feel less of a work? I hope it pan out okay...

i had the pick 2 platter thing (can't remember the name at all) you get two different things and rice. they weren't the biggest cups honestly. but if you got the bread course appetizer and then the pick 2 and maybe an extra thing of rice i think you will be good.

The cost to add on more park days to your tickets is minimal if you would be interested in adding a day or two. That's a lot of days/time wandering around resorts and stores with a 3yo, for another $20 a day you'll get a lot of entertainment if only for the afternoon. You may get lucky with December weather being good for the water parks but it could just as well be too cold.

Your restaurant choices all look good, I think you are a credit short if you plan to attend both CRT and HDH or CG.

Oh, then I should re-thinknow about sharing. Thank you!

Thank you for your reply. Yes, we are worried about the weather for the Waterpark days, too. Last time we went in Dec, it was super cold!

we will definitely consider adding more days. I can do that when we are there, right? Is the extra cost for adding at the park is the same as adding it now?

I wonder if we should do Epcot or HD if we were to add another park. Do you have any recommendations?

Yes, you can do it there no problem, just won't be able to book your FP+ 60 days out. I think you have to do it before the end of the day on your final ticket day (not sure if that would be theme park or not, I'd double check with guest services just to be careful if you are considering).

I think I'd do Epcot, there's the Nemo ride, Turtle Talk with Crush, the aquarium area, Frozen Ever After, the Mexican boat ride, Character Spot, Anna and Elsa meet and greet, plus you could wander the World Showcase while she naps in the stroller. There are also great restaurants in Epcot.

DHS is also fun with the Little Mermaid and Disney Junior shows.

<Dinner>
Day1: flight arriving at 6PM. Do QS for dinner
Day2: Boma (no park) We just ate there for breakfast and it was one of the best that we had. We love dinner there and now breakfast.
Day3: The Wave (MK) We just ate there for the first time and it was excellent that we went back again.
Day4: Cape May (no park) We enjoy this for breakfast and dinner. Great character interaction.
Day5: Tusker House (AK) We enjoy this restaurant too.
Day6: Chef Mickey's (no park) We just ate there for breakfast on our DDs 21st birthday. Goofy was fantastic. They all made our DD feel special. The food was good.
Day7: CRT (MK) We don't like the food here. I am glad that we experienced this once but will not go back. So expensive for bad food.
Day8: Ohana (no park) We eat there for dinner every time we go - it is one of our favorites.
Day9: Sanaa (no park) We eat there every time too. It is a great place. Love the Naan bread appetizers.
Day10: Crystal Palace (not booked yet) (MK) We have eaten there - no our favorite but love seeing the Pooh characters.
Day11: 1900 Park Fare (no park) We enjoy this for breakfast and for dinner. We love the characters at night. Cinderella's step sisters are so much fun.
Day12: Not decided yet - maybe Hoop-Dee-Doo or CG (no park) I would do this. It is so much fun. We try to go each time we go to Disney.
Day13: Whispering Canyon (no park) This is also one of our favorite restaurants. Great food and great fun.

No park days- we are going to the Waterpark in the morning - early afternoon, Disney Springs, or resort/restaurant tours.

Is there a restaurant that is a must-do and I am missing?

Also, I was thinking of using just 1 credit for Sanaa and the Wave, so we can use them at Hoop-Dee-Doo or CG. Is that a bad idea (in terms of $-value and portion wise)?

As for lunches, QS when we're not at the park, I am thinking of visiting Boardwalk Bakery, Contempo Cafe, Capt.Cook's, Roaring Fork, and Wolfgang Puck express. Are there any recommendations?

Thank you again.

You have picked some of our favorite restaurants. We love Kona Café for breakfast - they have the best pancakes. I don't see an EPCOT restaurant - we love Garden Grill - the food is great and we love Chip and Dale.

We also enjoy Gasparilla Island Grill at the Grand Floridian Resort. We love the lobby and relaxing there.

When you eat at Sanaa - we love watching the animals. At night they have Night Vision Goggles. So much fun.

You have some great choices - enjoy them all.

I would definitely add park days to your trip. If you did nothing but walk the WS and go in those shops it would be different than going to DS for the fourth time. But, I really think you'd enjoy Epcot with your daughter. I took mine when she was the same age and she loved the aquariums and Nemo themed attractions.

Judging from the list, you're not afraid of somewhat exotic food. So try any of the restaurants at the Morocco pavilion in Epcot.

Not sure what you already have planned for your non-park days but have you considered the horse drawn sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness? You can book a ride through the camp ground which is highly decorated (lots of people "winter" there and go all out on their Christmas decorations). My kiddos LOVED it!

Oh, I see. I forgot about FP+.
Thank you!

We are not sure if we are going to add a park and go to EPCOT or not. But I heard they've got really good food![/QUOTE]

I just looked at the Nemo ride and i can tell my DD would love it!!! Just that I can't find the right day for EPCOT visit! :(

Thank you. No, we're pretty good with different food. Actually, my DD dislikes fries, burgers, chicken fingers and loves steaks (big fan of it!), naan bread, butter chicken, chinese noodles, etc and she's only 2.5!
We'll keep that in mind if we go to Epcot! :)
