My DD will be attending Pace University as a Grad student in the Fall.
She will be taking classes at the Pleasantville campus.

They do have grad housing available but we have decided an apartment would be better. Their grad housing consists of a room(not bad) but shared bathroom and kitchen down the hall. She just spent 2 1/2 years in an apartment in Groton because UCONN didn't offer housing there. So she is used to living on her own. Plus she has a mild case of IBS so an in suite bathroom is a must.

Before I contact a rental agent in the area I thought I might ask here.

She is looking for a one bedroom apartment preferably in a complex. Within 5-10 miles of campus in Pleasantville. Does anyone live near there and know of any?

Thanks for any suggestions :goodvibes

Well I grew up in P-ville. You won't find any rental units there. It is very much a suburb.

Too be that close you are in P-ville or Mt. Plesasant. You are talking about serious money if you want to rent there.

Your best bet is to get a small loft or studio from an old timer, but they tend to really dislike the Pace kids (I got my BS from there also btw)..

Honestly, your best bet is to expand the drive to reach campus and go north up the Taconic Parkway 20 mins or so. Yorktown or that area will have more to offer for apartments and rentals.
