Pleasant MS call

I know MS kinda gets beaten up here on the boards when someone has a bad experience so I thought I would post a pleasant call with MS.

I have a ressie for 11/30 - 12/5 at AKV Kidani with a Standard View Studio. I called to ask about any availability for switching it to a Savanah view room. Topher (the person who answered) told me there wasn't but set me up with a Waitlist to switch to a Savanah view if it opens up.

Couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful this morning.

To be honest, this isn't an exception in my experiences so far. I've only been a DVC member for 4 months or and every time I call MS (about 8 times now) the people who answer are pleasant, helpful, and get the job done for my family.

Actually, thank you for this post. MS and DVC in general have been beaten up pretty badly on these boards lately. The experience you had are the same as we've had since joining. I think the good experiences far outweigh the bad, but bad experiences typically prompt people to post where good ones may not.
 
While I have occasionally had an MS rep that isn't completely familiar with all the DVC booking rules, the vast majority of times they have done a great job, and all have been very pleasant and tried to be helpful. Even the ones that weren't quite up to speed with any changes in policies, like the booking window when they first changed it.

All of the interaction with DVC CMs, both on the phone and in person at the resorts, has been great.
 
Nice that you took the time to write something nice. We too often forget to do that. You may want to contact Member Satisfaction as well.
 

I am glad someone shared their positive experience with MS. I, too, have had nothing but positive experiences with MS, but it usually doesn't cross my mind to post that.

A couple of weeks ago, I had to call MS twice over the course of the week to complete a reservation at the 7 month mark. We were booking a Grand Villa at Kidani and I didn't have enough AKV points initially to get it all. I had to call twice, once to add a day on the front and once to cancel an SSR reservation and add 2 days on the end. Both MS reps were very pleasant and efficient.

We had to borrow a few points on each call, and they both asked if I knew about the small purchase on one time use points instead of borrowing. Both of the asked which contract I wanted to borrow from. One of them had to put in 10 names on the reservation (since I hadn't done that before). There was not one hint of frustration or even apathy and doing what I needed them to do.

Very positive experiences.
 
All of my experiences with MS have been good, too. Sometimes a bit confusing, as each rep seems to have their own set of info that they need from me, the associate, and each one is absolutely dead set on "this is the ONLY way it is done and has been for MONTHS", while each asks me for different bits of information. I've just learned to have the member page up so I can give them whatever it is they need.

But apart from that silliness, which makes me laugh each time, they've always been lovely.

In 13+ years of making multiple DVC ressies a year, I have yet to have a bad experience with MS. I always scratch my head a bit when I read some of the negative posts on the board, because I've always had very well informed and courteous MS reps.
 
Have to agree with the above postings. When the worst DVC conversation I have ever had was an "average" conversation, that's not too shabby.

I'm not complaining about anyone particular, but I always think your own tone at the beginning of the call sets the tone for the whole conversation.
 
I'm a new member and have called MS twice. Both times the representative I spoke with was friendly, courteous and professional.

I am glad to hear others are having equally pleasant experiences.

Same here.

I just called on Monday to book VGC for May 2011, and MS was efficient and friendly.
 
I had a great call with a gentleman from Member Services today. Wish I remembered his name. I was actually embarrassed because I was calling with a bunch of availabilty and reservation switching requests (rare for me). He was very helpful and friendly, and went the extra mile doing calculations and suggestions for me.

I have spoken with Topher....Very Nice....Normally wouldnt remember CM name but it was a unusual name.......... So far have called MS 5x since we joined and have had nothing but a pleasant experience.
 
I have called MS several times. We have changed our December trip at least 3 or 4 times. We have also booked a cruise through MS. Every time they have been very friendly and nice. They have also made useful suggestions like buying the one extra point we needed so we could get a one bedroom instead of a studio and having points left over. Also when we booked our cruise the CM told me that she had made a note that my BD was being celebrated on our cruise without me even thinking about it. Lets give a cheer:cheer2: for the CM who do their jobs and have that Disney attitude we all appreciate.

When I booked Vero Beach OVIR the CM said she would note we wanted the 3rd Flr ...couldnt guarantee it but would request it. I then realized from the Vero threads that the higher floors have a better view of the ocean. Very nice of her........
