Plaza Restaurant - No ADR???

We will be arriving on Wed Dec 7 around lunchtime, till we get to BWV and get checked in etc. we should get to MK by late afternoon. Do you think we will have a problem getting a table at the Plaza Restaurant??? If I dont make a ADR???

you should not have a problem, but there might be a short wait. the plaza restaurant is becoming "discovered." enjoy!

I have eaten there sever times but always had ADR but for some reason this trip I am worrying about all the little stupid things I wouldnt normally worry about. 2 1/2 week jitters maybe. Maybe it is because normally this time of the year we have been spoiled but this year it seems everyone has discovered the "my favorite time" because we only ever wait in 10 min lines etc. who knows.....

oh no......the plaza restaurant has been is the current location for many years. it is a well kept secret in MK. it is off main street next to the plaza ice cream parlor. it is a sit-down and very yummy. the portions are large enough to share; the menu consists of sandwiches and salads. and of course ice cream sundaes.

Why can't I find a menu for the Plaza Pavilion?

I must be the only Diser who did not like this restaurant.. yikes....I am not sure what the Plaza Pavillion is....I know where the Plaza Restaurant is...are they two separate restaurants..

yes, the plaza restaurant is different from the plaza pavalion. the pavalion is now the noodle station. the restaurant is next door to the ice cream parlor. it is confusing!

You must make a reservation! I think that Disney is setting up to not accept walk ups anywhere! I always make them, and while we are waiting at any restaurant, we always see hungry, crabby people come up to the stand and act dumbfounded that they need a reservation. It is so easy to make the ADR, they don't penalize you if you don't show, but why chance it? Call the 1 800 828 0228 toll free number and use option 3. Otherwise, you'll be eating a lot of counter service!

I usaually do made ADR but I have no idea what time we will be arriving that day.

I would have a back-up plan simply because The Plaza is small--or guesstimate a time for an ADR. Love the Plaza--enjoy!

I was turned away once at the Plaza Restaurant. They only had room at around 9pm, and with a then 5yo, that wasn't going to work. We wound up walking to Liberty Tree Tavern and getting in with no problem (only a 10 minute wait).

We have had luck walking in for lunch around 11:00AM, but that is usually it. Impossible to get lunch on Saturdays and during the evening when MK is having EMH. You can walk to the kiosk anytime and make arrangements for a meal if there are opennings and then return. I would not go anywhere in MK on a Saturday without an ADR. (Also true for the couple of days in early December when they are taping the xmas parade.) this is a very small place (doesn't even have a restroom) and it's not easy accommodating later crowds without splitting them up. It's always a must on all of our trips.
