If i end up going to Disney in February

I cant even remember If i have ever eaten at the Plaza Inn, and If i have I dont remember but Is it a good place to eat?

Good food or not?

I enjoy it. I think their fried chicken is delicious, but they serve too much. I usually ask for two small pieces. My dd likes their pasta. They also have a good cobb salad.

If you time it right, you can have dinner on the patio & watch the fireworks afterwards. We did that one night.

DH & I love the fried chicken. It is a lot, but it is the perfect amount to share. The pasta is also yummy!

cool I happen to like eating at sit down restaurants in the parks
We did that alot at the WDW so we will probably end up eating there

We love the Plaza Inn! I enjoy the atmosphere (I read that Walt Disney's wife Lillian decorated this restaurant) both inside and out. I agree with Mary Jo, the fried chicken is really good but the portions are huge! My family of four can generally split two meals here along with a dinner salad or two. I love their dinner salads because they are made with leafy greens, not iceberg lettuce.

They also have a very cute character meal here in the mornings with Minnie and Friends. You need to make a reservation for that. Lunch and dinner are just counter service but in a more upscale manner with real plates etc. Give it a try!

So, Mary Jo, what time was it that you planned it just right to eat and then see the fireworks... lol

I would love to have that work out. You sat on the patio watching? Sounds like the nicest meal ever.

They don't always stay open that late, just FYI... sometimes if it is not crowded they will close up around 9pm, and fireworks are usually 9:30

That's a good point.

Last year, my dd, Kelly, & I went to DL to check out the HM Nightmare before Christmas, and decided to go to Plaza Inn. I remember that Fantasmic was starting. So, we went to Plaza Inn, and it was still open. We got dinner, and sat on the patio where we could see part of the castle and part of the Matterhorn. We had a great view of the fireworks, and Kelly remarked, "Dinner and a show, good times good times"

So, check & see how late Plaza Inn will be open. It's a nice option.

Another fried chicken recommendation. It is a pretty neat place to eat at in the evening.

Mmmm, Plaza Inn. The food is awesome, even though last trip was my first time. But I loved it, so it's a can't miss.

We enjoy the Plaza Inn, and it's definitely enough food to share.

Just wanted to be clear, it's not a sit-down service restaurant. It's semi-cafeteria style, where you carry your tray to the station you want, and they plate your meal for you. Then you carry your tray through the pay station, and choose a table yourself.

Don't mean to diminish the food quality---it's quite good and fresh---just didn't want you to have the wrong impression.

We have to go each and every time. Our family favorites are the Fried Chicken and Pasta. Also to consider is the salads and desserts, if you still have room. We had a strawberry thing (can't remember the details) that was delish.

Our guys LOVE the Plaza Inn chicken. I am not as much of a fan of their food but just give me their strawberry shortcake and I am happy!
