Plaza Inn Birthday Party?

Hi,

My daughter is turning one next month. I am trying to figure out what to do for her. I am thinking of doing the Birthday Party at the Plaza Inn. I haven't done this before, and I'm wondering if it would be good for a one year old. She's a pretty mellow and outgoing baby who enjoys restaurants, I'm just not sure if this will be age appropriate for her. Any advice?

It's a decorate your own birthday cake thing. Mickey shows up too I believe. For DS's 1st bday we did Goofy's Kitchen and had the characters sign a birthday card for him. We also ordered a small cake through Disney Dining.

My daughter was already off and running when she turned 1, and this would have been awesome for her. My son on the other hand wasn't yet walking and a little more reserved, but I still think would have enjoyed watching the party. They do decorate their own mini cakes. The best part of this is the kids are invited up to dance with the characters and take pictures. The Surf's Up breakfast was where we took the boy for his 5th. He had a card which every character signed, and special pics with Mickey. They sang too.

I'd put your money to better use & go with a character meal......the party wasn't that great, the cake was dry, the frosting stained my daughter's eyebrow & clothes, Mickey & Minnie came out for a very short time & did pictures.....but absolutely NO autographs!!! At a character meal, your child will get one on one time with the characters in attendance but you'll also get a good meal. Just my opinion!! (my 3 & 7 yr old did not enjoy the party at all)
