Just rang to reserve for the 26th Jan and the women said it was closed till March 1st ? :confused3

Bought HB so im down to 6 options (4 as im in Sante Fe, so wont go to Cheyenne or Crocketts)

Are you intending using your HB vouchers for lunch meals? Is that why the Cheyenne and Crocketts is out?

You still have a couple of options. You could use your HB vouchers at face value, and pay the difference, in Cafe Mickey, Walts, Silver Spur Steakhouse, or the Steakhouse in the Village. In these you can select from the a la carte menu, and a main course and drink may be enough for you, so it wouldn't necessarily cost a whole lot more than the face value of your voucher.

I've had a good meal at the Santa Fe evening buffet, and a horrible one. I think the reason was the time I went for dinner. First (horrible time) was at around 8pm, place was mobbed, food was cold by the time you got through the cashier and found a table etc. 2nd time was much much better, and excellent value for money. But I was there before the parks closed - around 6.30pm I think. I think it would be a similar experience at the Cheyenne buffet if you chose that.

I hope it's not closed, as we were hoping to eat there too.:sad2:
I wonder if it's just closed at the time you wanted to book? Were you booking for an evening meal? From previous threads it seems that quite a few places close earlier during the winter.

I dint even mention a time, just asked to book on 26th, She said it was closed till March 1st for maintenance.

She said that Agrabah Cafe was open, but doesnt that shut at 4 ?

You could eat at cheyenne if you fancied though - would be a short walk from Santa Fe, but still a change of scenery.

Or - upgrade to HB+ will only be a few extra £s and then you'll have more options. Great deal at the minute too!

Yes, you can upgrade at any time up to a couple of days before you arrive at DLRP. Just phone to amend your booking. You'll get a confirmation email for the amendment.

As Elain says the trick for the Santa Fe and Cheyenne buffets are to get there before park closure. We ate there at 7pm in October when the park closed at 7pm and it was dead quiet until around 7:45.

Cool thanks for the tip, may eat at the Sante Fe then on the first night as we will probably go back early to book in etc.

Anyone rate the buffet ?

When its hot and the restaurant isn't busy, the Santa Fe buffet is actually pretty good :) . Lots of choice.
The earlier you go, the better - and forget it really after park closing time - it just gets too busy to be a pleasant experience. If the park closes at 7pm, go for dinner there at 6.30 and string out your meal for around an hour, as there is usually a character or 2 around the restaurant at 7.30, for about half an hour ;) .
