Playstation 2 - game recommendations for 8 yo.

My neice and nephew (7 & 8 years old) recently got a playstation 2.

They had an old nintendo sns system, and enjoyed playing SuperMario, etc.

Any recommendations for similar style of games for the playstation 2?

Harvest moon, kindom hearts, sphynx and the cursed mummy are some of my favorites.

They have Mario for Playstation2, DD enjoyes all the spongebob ones, Scooby Doo, shrek. Can you tell she see to much tv. I would look for the older games that are only 15-$20 to start with. I think target had Mario ones with several games on it for $20.

You might also want to look for 2 player games like Star Wars Lego, Shrek, & some of the Crash games are 2 player.

I'd definately say Star Wars legos, my ds10 got it for christmas, and my dd7 loves it, they play it all the time.
We also have spongebob, fairly oddparents, shrek..

Dance dance revolution, also known as DDR, is a great game too. DD has it and loves it. You'll also have to buy the dance mat that is needed for the game.

I could be wrong but I never saw Mario for playstation I am pretty sure it is for Nintendo systems only.
My son 6 loves lego Star wars 1 & 2 & Spongebob, Sonic Riders, Meet the Robinsons, I am sure there are others that are good for an 8 year old, just make sure to check the ratings on the back!

My 7 y.o. loves Spongebob as well as any of the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games. All are rated E for everyone.
