Putting together a playlist for the Disneyland Half Marathon, would love to get some Disney songs on there. Any suggestions?? :music:

"I Just Can't Wait to be King" is an upbeat that song that gets everyone in my family moving...:cool1:

There are a few I like for running. There are two versions of "I Wan'na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)" from Jungle Book and both are pretty groovin - Louis Prima's original from the movie and then Los Lobos did a cover of it about 15 years ago. I like Squirrel Nut Zippers version of "Under the Sea." And "All the Cats Join In" by Benny Goodman is super swinging. (That one is from Make Mine Music.) Good luck with your race!

A few I came up with (in addition to the ones above):

Real Gone - Cars
Life is a Highway - Cars
I won't say I'm in Love - Hercules
The Bare Necessities - Jungle Book
I'll Make a Man out of You - Mulan
Seize the Day - Newsies
A Step in the Right Direction - Bed Knobs and Broomsticks
Be Our Guest - Beauty and the Beast
One Jump Ahead - Aladdin
Let's Go Fly A Kite - Mary Poppins
Just Around the Riverbend - Pocahontas
Substitutiary Locomotion - Bead Knobs and Broomsticks
That's How You Know - Enchanted
I've Got a Dream - Tangled

The Tarzan soundtrack is loaded with energetic music from Phil Collins as well as the Trashin' the Camp song.

there is a whole "doing La Vida Mickey" CD, very upbeat Ricky Martin type latin rhythms , all great to run to

I'm training for the WDW Goofy Challenge and the Fantasmic music is on my running playlist. I think Under the Sea, Colors of the Wind, One Jump Ahead, and Circle of Life are on there too. :thumbsup2

I know you said you were making a playlist but have you tried Pandora?
I created a Disney station on my smartphone and it is awesome!!
It played songs from Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, Tangled, Cars and so on and so on!!
I use it to get the kids up every morning and it helps us to get excited as we're driving down to DLR.:thumbsup2

How about the "pop" music from A Goofy Movie? Can't remember the names, but sung by...Tevin Campbell, I think? Phew that brings me back to my preteen years. Lol.

If you like Jazz -- which I doubt you do -- "Dave digs Disney" is very cool.
