Playing around with the Nikon Coolpix P 80

I've seen people asking about Point & Shoot cameras and just thought I'd post a few of mine. If you read the boards often you will note that I am NO WHERE NEAR A PRO and am still learning.

Here's a lucky shot taken without aiming while moving at 35mph. I was using the setting that takes 13 pics per sec.

Keep this in mind (I wasn't driving) This shot was taken at 45 mph and the other cars are also driving the same rate of speed if not faster

Can you explain exactly what you did for that first shot? Did you use the light from your ipod???

I set the camera on the 1/2 wall facing the kitchen, turned off the lights, set the shutter for 4 sec and put the delay at 10 sec. After that I turned on the ipod and ran around to the front. The light is just from the screen. It took me 3 tries but I think it looks pretty cool!

Was that pic of the baseball game from last night? If so, I can't believe you took a picture of the at-bat that put the nail in the coffin for the Phils We were at the game and let me tell you, DH wasn't too thrilled with Mr. Stairs.

We've done circles with sparklers and a slow shutter speed, but haven't tried writing things!

It was from Sunday. We were at my Mom's for dinner and I was showing off to my FIL.
