I was just wondering about Playhouse Disney in MGM. Does it have Fastpass? Do the shows run continuously like Little Mermaid or is it more of a set time several times a day? If it just has a couple of performances a day when is the last one? and one more question Would it be better to go to the AM performances when the little ones are there and raring to go or would it be better to catch this in the afternoon after the little ones have had a bit of a break but others(not us) who haven't had a break are too tired and the interest isn't there?

The times are set. I believe the first three were 9:30, 11, and 1. I could be wrong because I don't have my times guide anymore. I don't remember how late into the afternoon they go. There is not Fast Pass. This was the only thing we waited more than 10 minutes for the whole trip. I think we got there about 12:30 for the 1:00. I know my little ones would have been excited for this no matter what time we went. My four year old went 3 out of 4 park days with no nap and still had energy for everything.

Playhouse Disney is a great show for all. We go in the a.m. & p.m. My kids never get tired of it.

First show is allways the lest crowded, so I would go to that if you can.

OHIO VIKING,

A recent schedule for Playhouse Disney was 10 a.m., 10:45, 11:30, 12:30, 1:45, 2:45, 4, 4:45, and 5:30. It's not FASTPASS. It's a great way to get out of the afternoon heat (the Studios has a lot of cement and can get hot in the afternoon during warm months). Kids can sing and dance along as they wish; they're not constrained by anything other than their parent's arms. It's great fun!

Thanks for all of the replys. We have 3 boys 0ldest is 17 next a 9year old and youngest is 6. They are all big enough for TOT this year so I hoped that we could do the big kids ride first and hit Playhouse Disney in the afternoon without having to wait through the previous show. The 2 youngest both want to see Roly Poly Ollie and Stanley but I'm afraid that if there are a lot of really young kids and the wait is too long they will feel "too old". My hope is to get them in without too much thought because I know they would like it but don't want to admit it. (They really both like the shows but say they don't to other kids--isn't peer pressure wonderful)

If there is an attraction anywhere in WDW not targeted at 17 year-olds, its Playhouse Disney. The 6-year old will probably love it. The 9-year old is on the older end of the target range for this, but will probably be ok.

If the 17 year-old is a "I love anything Disney and enjoy seeing my siblings have fun" type, they'll be ok. But if not, you might want to consider letting the 17 year old take an extra ride on ToT or RnRC while the rest of you go to PD. Maybe give the 9-year-old the choice.

Really, PD has tremendous appeal to younger children, but with very rare exceptions, the only real appeal it has to adults is for parents getting to see their kids have a ball and dance around. (That's important to parents, of course, but not always to 17-year olds)

But you know you're family best, of course.

One thing you could do is get a FP for ToT or RnRC, then head over to PD.

One word of warning since you mentioned Playhouse Disney as a mid-afternoon break: There are no seats in the theater. It's floor seating only. Don't expect to be able to stretch out too much. The show itself is about 20-25 minutes, so expect to be sitting on that floor for 40 minutes or so.
