What characters are at the Playhouse Disney Live show? Did you enjoy it? Did your 2 year old hold still? How early did you get there before the show? Thanks! :earsboy:

The Bear in the Big Blue HOuse starts out, and he opens a giant storybook...........there are all his friends, then later, Rolie Polie Olie and his sis pop up, Stanley is there, hmmm, I think that might be all. I can't remember anymore than that, anyway. My 2 year old loved the show, after he got over the fact that he couldn't go up on stage with Bear........before that, he was a screaming mess. He was so used to getting to hug and kiss the characters, it was very difficult to explain that he couldn't go hug Bear. They watch from the floor, and the show is on an elevated stage. Bear does not come down for pics or autographs, and all the rest are just puppets or marionettes. They don't have to sit still though, as each story has something new for them to do, and there's lots of singing and dancing. It's a very cute show, but if I'd known how upsetting it would be to my 2 year old, I would've waited for the next trip for him. Yours might not get so upset, if he doesn't like to get close to characters like mine.

Edited to say, we waited about 40 minutes for this one because he soooo wanted to do it, and we were nearly the last ones let in........so most of the front ones had been there over an hour. But this was in peak season, too.

Bear and some of the other characters from Bear in the Big Blue House, Stanley, Rolie Polie Olie, and some of the Book of Pooh characters were there.

It was a cute show. I went last May for the first time with my (ages then) DD4 & DS3. Sitting on the floor was okay for a while, but it got old quick. The kids thought it was okay, but they weren't asking to go back right away.

Sorry, can't remember how early we got there. I'm sure you'll get better reviews than this one, but I had high expectations and the kids just didn't seem to like it as much as I thought they would and I thought that the set-up design could have been a lot better.

The show opens and closes with Bear. All the main Bear characters are there. Then there's segments with Rolie Polie Olie, Stanley and Book of Pooh. Ends with Bear again.

My 2 year old loved it! The lines can be long. If you can go on an EMH night, maybe it might be better but I don't know. I think it's worth the wait to see the look on your kid's face when the Bear comes out.

The line might look long but the room holds a lot of people. One time we grabbed a snack and got in line early to be in the shade and eat. They ahve tv monitors you can watch while you're waiting.

You sit on the floor for the show and there are times when your kids can get up and dance.

Oh it is such a fun show!

And if your kids like Playhouse Disney they will love the show!

Sitting on the floor is a bit uncomfortable for us adults, but the kids don't seem to mind. They actually like it. They can jump up & dance & have a great time.

We took our DS when he was only 9 months old & he LOVED it.

I can't wait to take him again in April!

He always gets excited when he sees the "Mini-Movie" clip of it on PlayHouse Disney. And he loves watching the show from when we video taped it last year.
