Hi! Can anyone share any info on Playhouse Disney Live at MGM? This is the main thing that my kids want to see at MGM. We will not be spending a whole day there since this is a short trip for us this time. Does the show run all day long and at set times? Stanley is a favorite....any chance of seeing him in the show (and even better yet, up close for pics??) Thanks!

This is a great little show! However, you need to be aware that it's last performance is at 5:00. Who'd have thought that a park that is open til 9:00 would close up a bunch of stuff 4 hours before it actually closes? Certainly not me. So don't go in the evening expecting to see it.

It does have Stanley and Dennis as well as the characters from Book of Pooh and Bear in the big blue house. Definitely worth your time. On our last trip, my kids loved it!

The characters are also in the STars and Motorcars parade. Theorhetically you could go to the show at 5:00 and then catch the parade. (Not if it's crowded though.)

I don't know if this will help you, but, I read that Stanley is at AK at Rafiki's Planet Watch.....we look forward to seeing him there....

Don't forget BEAR IN THE BIG BLUE HOUSE, ROLLIE POLIE OLIE, AND POOH, ALONG WITH DENNIS, AND STANLEY! yOU SIT ON FLOOR AND WATCH THE SHOW. VERY CUTE SHOW!

Picture advice:

Don't sit too close to the stage.... it is quite a bit elevated from the floor you're sitting on and you'll actually have a bad view of the characters (this is especially a problem for the really little kids) not much fun if you can only see the tops of the character's heads.... we've found the best view was more toward the middle or back.

The distance is not that far and if you're videotaping, your zoom will make you feel like you're on the stage!

Hi!

We were at Disney the first week of May. All the parks were empty, especially MGM. However, in order to see Playhouse Disney you had to get there an hour before the show and stand in the heat. There is no overhang on the line.

Since we saw the show last year, this year we felt that is was not worth standing in the heat with two small children for an hour. Do not get me wrong, the show is great and the kids love it, however MGM makes it a very hard show to see. The show times are limited and people line up well over an hour to catch it. They need to increase the shows and/or offer fast passes.

I just got back on Saturday and did MGM on Thurs., 6/5. We saw the first Playhouse Disney show of the day (10 am) and only waited about 15 minutes.

The show was great!. My 5 year old DS was up dancing and singing the entire show. Definitely a don't miss if you have small children.
