Playhouse Disney in Concert questions?

OMG is anyone else freaking out about the lines to get into these shows? We are there for Mickeys Magic, and the Wiggles. I am planning on NOT telling our kids about the Wiggles, and just see what happens when we get there. :confused3 We have seen them before, and I know my kids would love to see them again, but I dont want to spend all day waiting in line...What do you all think?

We will have already been to MGM earlier in the week and so I added a few days to our park passes so we can go just for the Wiggles. If we get to do other things so much the better, but my focus is the Wiggles. I haven't even seen an opportunity to see them here in WI, so this is our chance! :cool1:

This way if my DH wants to veg by the pool and have some "alone time" he can and I'll bear the crowds (crowds make him cranky) with my DD3 and DS6. :lmao:

oh all this invormation is wonderful we will be there for

August 20–23 – The Doodlebops
10:00 am, 11:15 am, 1:15 pm & 2:30 pm

August 24–27 – Mickey's Magic Show
10:00 am, 11:15 am, 1:15 pm, 2:30 pm & 4:00 pm

August 29–September 1 – The Wiggles
10:00 am, 11:30 am & 1:00 pm

dd (5) would be tickled :cheer2: to see any and all of these performances. Only how to do it with our time schedule. Got to try.

Found another website showing different venues. Some shows in ABC theater, some at Soundstage one (I think), and Wiggles at Epic Theater.

Does anyone know where Epic Theater is? Is it bigger? :confused3

They are incredible! They are a group of guys from New Orleans who have been writing their own kids music for years. My boys absolutely love them! Their music is up tempo and geared to the preschool set. Great entertainers and songs - your kids will love them and become big fans! We have seen them about 20 times in the past three years here in New Orleans and are very excited for them to play at Disneyworld. It is a great accomplishment for them. They are truly something to see! Don't miss them!

Their website is www.imaginationmovers.com for more information on them.

I think that the Epic theater is Indiana Jones Theater...but I could be wrong...

Tiffanie, do you work for them? LOL... Thanks for the info, truly. Now I am intrigued. We will be there during the time they are playing so we may just try to get into that.

This was my plan too...until my 4 year old saw the commercial and put 2 and 2 together. We are huge Wiggles fans and have seen them several times (and met them too!), so I guess we will just put up with the lines. It will be worth the wait to see her smile.

I'm going to try to make this concert on our arrival day, as we were planning on doing FDP at H&V that evening anyway. I was just hoping to go to MK first, so I hope the last show will be after 2:30 (plane lands at 10:30 AM, wanted to eat lunch at Cosmic Rays).
What is the Playhouse Disney Dance Party? Sounds neat!

I am from Chicago and what do you bet, I go to disney and the Chicago based band is there. We have the opportunity to see Ralph's World (Ralph Covert) all the time.

We will be there the week that Ralph's World (Ralph Covert) will be there. Who is this? I have never heard of him?

As far as the Imagination Movers, they are OK. My daughter saw them when they came to our town to peform for some schools two years ago. She seemed to like them but the songs were kind of corny to me and alot of the kids seemed to get restless during the concert. IMO they are like the Wiggles but not near as good. If I had spare time I would let my kids see them, but I would much rather ride rides or see the Beauty & the Beast or Mermaid show.

Wanted to bump this to see if anyone has found more or different info!

This is what I have found (thanks to DISers) so far:

And to clarify about the Wiggles and Epic Theater, a DISer that is a CM posted on another thread that Epic Theater is indeed where Indiana Jones is!

Anyone have anything new? :grouphug:

If you have never seen a Wiggles concert. Capt Feathersword is SOOO worth it. That guy is so hilarious. He did impersonations of stars or rock stars, singing Wiggles songs at our concert, and the adults were falling over laughing. People would shout out stars and he would just do them...He even did Barney and Rod Stewart! :rotfl2:

We saw the Imagination Movers and Tiffanie you were right. They were great! They actually play their instruments live and even had a horn section to boot. Our two wee ones were dancing in the aisles the whole show.

If you get to see them, they were really impressive. I didn't think they were anything like the Wiggles. Definitely more rock and roll - less syrupy, but that's just one mom's opinion (and two kids and a husband who got up and danced the last song).

Thanks for the post SFLTIGGER my son's really like Dan Zanes music and funny hair! Can't wait for our Sept. trip.

We just got back and saw Mickey's Magic Show. It was really great!! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a wonderfully put together show!!

One thing to mention though...we had to show up early to get a "ticket" for the show. We asked several CM's about the Playhouse Disney concert series, and they were all directing us to Playhouse Disney, Live on Stage. We finally went to the Playhouse Disney LoS theater and there were a few CM's that knew where to send us. We had to walk past Voyage of the Little Mermaid towards Lights, Motors, Action and there was a table set up in front of Sound Stage 1 on the right hand side. The CM's there asked which show we wanted to see (what time) and how many of us there were. She then gave me a "ticket" for 4 of us to come back at 1:45 for the Magic Show.

We showed up right at 1:45 and it was PACKED!! We did get seats, but towards the back of the theater. I guess it's something that you'd still have to show up early for if you want good seats. Either way, we had a GREAT time. The music and magic were great, and there were a LOT of characters in the show!

We tried to see the Doodlebops yesterday. They pass out tickets to the shows at two separate locations. We entered the park by 9:30. We tried the first ticket location by the theatre. The line was extremely long and we were told that only a few tickets were left. We went to the second location at the Lights, Motors, Action theatre. However, all of the tickets were gone at this location. All of this happened before 10:00 am.

If you want to see the shows plan on being in the park as early as possible to get in lines.

I'm not going to attempt to catch of the remaining shows. Too much trouble battling the crowds.
