I was told by a recent attendee of playhouse disney that although he was the first in line for the next show, the first two rows were already filled. He was told by a CM that these people had called ahead and made reservations to be in the front. Has anyone heard of this? Do you know who to call or how to arrange? My kids would flip!

Thanks!

Not heard of this before. Perhaps they were some sort of special needs school group or one of the charity groups that bring children to WDW.

i agree i've never heard of being able to reserve the front. must have been a special group.

if your children are really small it's better to sit towards the back anyway because the 'stage' is very high.

We were lucky enough to be some of the first on line. We have been there a few times before were always in the back. I always wanted to try up front because they take the kids and dance with them. Well, we got up front but very hard to see up on stage when sitting. CM's did grab dd's for the dance routine which was fun. But the kids complained they couldn't see and wanted to stand or move back, which of course we couldn't do either. A few rows back are good would be good, but hard to get since CM's need to keep moving everyone to the front to fit more people in.

Never heard of reserving up front though.

In december this happened to my group of ten. What happened was we had a huge problem with our tickets at MGM (long story) and it took like 2 hours to fix so they gave us front of the line tickets to all of the major attractions. RNR , ToT , Playhouse , Startours etc. and they took us through a diff door. It wasn't all that great cause like a previous poster said you can't see the whole stage. I don't know if this is the same thing that happened to that group or not. I have never heard of calling or anything like that.

I don't like to sit in the front of Playhouse Disney either - you can't really see the stage - the best place to sit is on an aisle about halfway back - whenever we have been there - they encourage all of the kids to get up and dance and come to the front or join a conga line -

It's better to sit somewhat in the back because the stage is so high up. When you have toddlers it's very hard for them to see the stage if at all. I find that somewhere in the middle is the best - the streamers come right at you and the bubbles fall just about the right spot.

A couple of years ago, me and dw had the prince and princess plan had special seating to alot of childrens shows.one was playhouse disney had to make a p.s. call, then when we got there we were led in a different way. we were alone in there except for the cms for about 5 mins got to sit in the front middle.maybe that's what the cm meant. they don't offer the prince and princess plan anymore i don't think.i agree the front is the worst place to sit if you have little ones very hard to see.our bundle of terror umm i mean joy was having a very hard time seeing the stage and became very upset.

When we were there last month we had a similar thing happen. The line was already pretty long because the parade had just let out and it was still 45 minutes until the next show. We were getting ready to get in line and a CM saw Julia's bday pin and they started talking. She said that Julia was her VIP guest and led us all to another door. She said she would let the CM'S inside know to get us right before they let people in and we would be the first in and can choose where we want to sit. We've seen the show a number of times and there is nothing the kids like better then to sit in the very front... so this was really a treat. Plus we didn't have to wait in line which with 5 under 5 was REALLY nice. We sat by the little store at the exit and the kids did some pin trading with a few CM's and ran around and I shopped a little. Then before they opened, a guy came out and got us. We were in there talking to the CM'S for 5 minutes or so before they let everyone else in. Was very cool!

Rows? Really? Whenever we have gone it is just a free for all to get enough room on the floor for all the people in your party & your stuff.

We have sat in the middle of the room & up close. I liked the middle of the room better since we could see the stage better.

But in all seriousness I just want enough room to sit & give my DS enough room to dance.

I know kids are excited & everyone wants to see the show. But last time we were there this familly kept inching closer and closer & their kids kept pushing me & DH. I finally had to say something when one of the children stepped on my knee & threw himself into my 21 month old DS. I know he was excited, but geez! I never let my DS push on anyone in there or climb on anyone either. And this kid was about 7 or 8, so all his weight on my knee HURT.

sounds like we'll just enjoy wherever they put us. My dd is 2 and would probably have a hard time right up front. Good advice. Thanks!

We had the Prince and Princess add-on when we were there in Dec. They no longer offer it with the packages. We had front row (or 2nd row) for 6 shows including Playhouse Disney, Beauty and the Beast,Lion King, Tarzan Rocks, Pocahontas, and Flights of Wonder. We only used 4 of them, didn't use Playhouse Disney or Flights.
