Playhouse Disney Dance Party

I've read about this on Dis, but haven't found info anywhere else. It looks like something my 2.5 year old would adore, and I'd love to take her. My question is, does the dance party happen only during EMHs, or can I find it during regular park hours, too? I'm not sure I dare keep her out until after 9:00 on any night, let alone if I want her up and ready to go for rope drop the next morning.

It's only during EMH, 10-1 I believe. My DD5 would love it too, but that's way past her bedtime.

It is during EMH. Depending on what time of year you go, the hours will vary. We will be at Disney in 13 days and the hours for HS is 9 - 8, so the EMH will be 8-11.

What is the Playhouse Disney Dance Party? I've never heard of it. Just from the name it sounds like something my boys might enjoy.

Just got back from WDW, went to the dance party. It is only during EMH at DHS when we went 10-1. The dance party is in the playhouse disney building. There is a DJ that plays all types of music, teaches dances, there was a balloon artist to make things for the kids (for free) and there are characters in there that dance with the kids. When we went it was Annie and Quincy from Little Einstiens, JoJo and Goliath from JoJo's Circus and then Mickey and Minnie came in too for a while! It was a blast, Grace loved dancing with Annie and Minnie. We did the Bump, Hustle, danced to CampRock and HSM. DD4 loved it! Oh we also got a sward and dog balloon.

Oh My a Playhouse Disney Dance Party!! My DD is going to freak. I had no idea of this. Now I'll just have to change my plans around. I keep telling my family this place is full of wonderful info. They just don't listen to me.

It is new I believe, it is only in the evening EMH, and you would have to be a resort guest ot participate in EMH. It is geared toward any age. The music is HSM, stuff you would hear on radio disney, retro music, I saw every age in there from toddlers to adults dancing. I don't know how long they are doing it for.

Ohhhhhhh! My kids would love this. I am so bummed that you have to be a resort guest to enjoy it I wish they had something for those of us that don't stay on property.
