Playhouse Disney Dance Party

I recently read somewhere (I don't remember where) about a Playhouse Disney Dance Party during the late EMH at DHS. What is this about? If it has to do with Playhouse Disney, my 4yo would probably love it. Thanks!

it takes place in the playhouse disney live building.. you'll see mickey, minnie, etc along with some PHD characters though. it's exactly what it sounds like.. a dance party.

Preschoolers mostly. Basically any kid that would watch Playhouse Disney on TV.

We were there last week and it was great!! My DD4 had a great time. The dance party was hosted by a DJ and the kids were dancing and having a great time. The songs ranged from "Who Let The Dogs Out" to Playhouse Disney Songs to Crazy Frog type Music to remixed versions of The Itsy Bitsy Spider and such. Then out came some characters to dance with the kids. They even did Limbo with Mickey & Minnie holding the limbo stick. There was also balloon artists making balloon designs for the kids (my DD got a princess hat).
It was for us the best perk of any evening EMH.

Those balloon hats are incredible, too!! I was out taking pictures tonight in front of Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat (at DHS) and I love watching all of the people coming out with these crazy hats! There are some with big, tall flowers or hearts on a stem. Some with characters....just amazing!!

Is it in the building where the Playhouse Disney show usually is or is it outside? For those who have gone, has it been really crowded? What other characters have you seen dancing?

I thought i'd offer some pictures from the dance party. My kids were 7, 5, and 2 1/2 at the time and they all had a blast!!!!

I hope they still have the dance party during our visit in late September/early October. My boys will love this!

Are there any other similar EMH extras/perks at this or the other parks?

This is a GREAT EEMH event! When I was there last month,the "playlist" also included songs from HSM and Camp Rock! It was AWESOME to see Characters dancing to "We Rock"!The CM leading the dances was really good.My guess was that she may have been "moonlighting' from the HSM Street Show.
