Playground in Epcot

I was wondering if anyone would know if the playground in Epcot (it was in the gardens between Future World and the World Showcase) is still up and in use. I was at Epcot in May for the Flower & Garden Show and saw it but didn't have my littles with me. We are heading back in January 2015 and I think they would love it to let off a little energy in the more "adult park" my littles will be 4 & 3 when we go.
Thanks.

I saw it at F&G in May. My kids thought it looked fun but we were in a rush. We were back in July and the whole thing was gone. It was totally covered up. From gaps in the bottom of the covering it looked as though the whole structure was removed.

They take it down every year. I wish they'd leave it up. My daughter loved it last year.

The playground that the OP refers to was just there for the Festival. During non-festival times (as will be the case when they next go in January) there won't be a playground there.

That only stays open for the Flower and Garden Festival.

The only playground that is permanently located in Epcot, as far as I recall, is the small one at the exit of Mission Space. It might work as a place to let off steam for a short time.

Thanks all, I appreciate the response even though it is disappointing :) - I appreciate the heads up about the mission space area. I will check that out.

I really wish EPCOT had a permanent playground. It is much needed. All the other parks have something, so I just don't get it. It was never anything I thought about until I had a kid of my own.

Completely agree!! I don't see why they don't put up playgrounds year round to promote movies (like the Monsters University one at this year's F&G). It would offer another promotional opportunity for Disney and fill a much needed gap!
