We were considering booking Hollywood & Vine Play n Dine for lunch because our DGS loves Special Agent Oso. But when I checked the menu prices on all ears I about fell off my chair. $30.99 for breakfast and $35.99 for lunch, at first I thought it must be a mistake. But after reading a few other threads here I guess it must be true. So I guess DGS just wont be meeting Oso. I've always loved Disney, But, I've also always avoided taking my business to places that try to use advertising discounts as a way to stick it to you.

If you've read the other threads, then you know I am in the minority in believing these to be the new prices for buffets.

Most of the other posters believe allearsnet has listed the peak surcharge prices by mistake.

The suggestion was made to call Disney Dining and ask what the cost will be on the day you want to go. At lease one person got a cheaper answer than what is listed for Tusker House.

It might be worth a call and an ADR, but don't tell DS. When you get to HS, one of you could go and check the menu/ask at the restaurant what the price will be that day, and then decide if it's worth the money.

Even without the surcharge lunch would still be $31.99 per adult. I just wont pay that much to eat at a place that always seems to have some of the worst reviews.

Allears currently has an adult breakfast at the Crystal Palace listed for $28.75. I just got off the phone with Disney Dining. Crystal Palace adult breakfast will be $24.49 tax included for the lowest pricing tier which takes effect on 8/14. Allears also shows 1900 Park Fare adult dinner price at $42.59. This adult price in the lowest tier as of 8/14 will be $38.33 tax included. I think those are holiday surcharge prices. :thumbsup2

Agreed but that's just my opinion after having eaten lunch at Hollywood & Vine before. I don't think I'd pay half that, to be honest.

DS really wants to meet handy manny and oso but like you I cant see paying $100 for the 3 of us to eat at a buffet.

Is there anywhere else to meet these 2?

I called for our times and the 3 CM I wanted were about $10 less per person than the listed price on the disney reservation page. So call for sure.

Also, I think Handy Manny has a meet and great or is out but Oso is only at the meal.
