I'm packing up the kids and cat to head to HH and am in the mood for summer!

4 for a Dollar (picked it up at WDW in May) is playing on the stereo.

SO---what is the ONE thing that sums up HH for you, that you dream about, or that you can't wait to partake of when you arrive?

For me, it is the fragrant, one-of-a-kind SCENT of the lowcountry. I always roll down the windows when we get on the 278 and breathe deeply as we cross the intercoastal. Salt water, marsh grasses. shrimp, live oaks, etc. all combine into one. Time to relax is at hand....

Spending time sitting, especially out on the wooden covered little pier or whatever it is by the snack bar. Also, walking along the sidewalk by the marina side with DH, scanning the water for Dolphins to break the surface, as we go for our nightly evening stroll around the resort.

Has to be starting the day off with coffee and the Island Packet on a porch overlooking the marsh. Actually doing anything on the porch overlooking the marsh. One year we had some great thunderstorms going while we were there -- I just kept clicking away on my digital camera, since you never know just when the lightning will appear. Got some GREAT pictures!!!

All of the above mentioned, but it wouldn't be the same without Blu' and the knowledge and fun he shares about the area.

A trip to Starbucks followed by a run to the beach house followed by a kayak excursion. . .does all this count as one thing?

Most definately! The look on my kids faces when they pull the first crab up in their net! Beats anything else, anytime.

Of course, everything else about HH is great too. It's the most relaxing, family vacation we have ever taken. We talked for a split second this year about skipping our week at HH. It didn't even take that split second to know that we wouldn't be happy without our Hilton Head fix.

I don't have a favorite yet.... TS Alberto is here for my virst visit.

We are getting ready to go see Cars and do some outlet shopping and hoping that Wednesday is a little drier.

We did get half a day yesterday (our arrival day) to play in the pool and slide on the slide.

What is up with the gift shop not carrying Mickey Head Rice Krispy treats? In my opinion that is a felony! Vero had the rice krispy treats!

Heading to HH on Sunday to spend a week just doing NOTHING! Just relax and have no agenda! We love all the activities for the kids and the firework/pool party. I feel that every trip to WDW is planned to the minute with dining reservations and must do rides so when we get to HH it's great to unwind and let the day take us wherever Life is good

The excursion to Daufuskie Island. You will see enough dolphins on this ride that you will not need to take the dolphin tour, and our kids love collecting shells with the beach to themselves.

Sitting on the porch in the rocking chair with a beverage and a book. We're headed to HH in Sept. Can hardly wait.
We'll be there for almost a week and I'm anxious to do some exploring. First and only visit we were there from Sunday to Wednesday, not enough time.

We're hoping to secure HHI for spring at the seventh-month window. It will be our first trip there.

Well after having the head gasket on our van blow 15 minutes before we were leaving for HHI today my favorite thing is getting there...LOL

Well...they said the car will be fixed by noon tomorrow...so we are delayed...but will be fine.

Favorite= watching the kids crabbing an how excited they get

Jersey Girl and kjmickey,
We too are leaving on Sunday for HH! Maybe we will see you there. We have a 5 hr drive ahead of us, not to bad at all.. Let me know if anyone plays golf, looking for a possible partner to play while down there. I play from the men's tees-about an avg golfer from the white tees..

Really there are 2:

1. GOLF, GOLF, and more golf and the beautiful courses down there.
2. Seafood, eating any seafood!!
