The AP Card would be necessary to show proof for any AP discounts (dining, merchandise, etc.). Many AP & DVC discounts are similar.

The AP Card is also RFID enabled and can be used in place of a MagicBand.

Definitely ask for the AP card not only for the discounts but if you MB doesn't work properly you can use it to get into the parks.

Link the confirmation # your MDE account in order to make FP+

They can easily look it up to activate it @ GS, note that i’ve always been asked for DVC card & DL when doing so

Once you've linked the confirmation number to your MDE account then all you'll need is an ID at the ticket booth or at a GS location to activate the AP.

So, I didn't know about the specific annual pass magic bands. I ordered custom magic bands for this trip with the expectation that we would just use them all year. Can we link the annual pass to those?

Excited to activate our annual passes on 7/21! We'll be coming home as many times as possible over the next year. Already booked a F&W weekend!

Nothing is stored on or linked directly to a MagicBand. Everything is linked together using your MDX account. Any active MagicBand linked to your MDX profile can be used with any admission product (MYW Ticket or AP) that's linked to the same MDX profile.
