Platinum Plan

We planned a stay at the GF.

With the premium plan were could we get a breakfast at the GF?

Sorry for this dumb question

The character breakfast at 1900 Park Fair is good choice. Also you can go over to the Poly. and have breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at Ohana. Or go to Cindy's place for breakfast and get into the MK early. It's really nice to walk down Main street with very few people there. You can get some great pictures in front of the Castle.

I can confirm everything Stephanie said about use of credits as being valid last week - in our planning stages I hadn't realised that signature meals were just one platinum credit, so had quite a few "spares"... we had 16 left on our departure day... our party of 3 had early breakfast, early lunch, early dinner, I sneaked in an afternoon "snack" of Fish'n'Chips from the Rose'n'Crown, we also got salads to go from Mara to take to the airport... used 13 credits that day, ten of them after checkout, albeit not exactly getting our $$$ worth for some of them.

We couldn't do many of the tours because DD was too young... I tried for Dolphins in Depth on my own, but it was booked out on the mornings I had available... thought about the Richard Petit driving thing, but that was not included so it seems silly to pay $$$ for something when there was so much else to do for free... ended up parasailing and doing the Segway World Tour... DW got a couple of massages, and we did a carriage ride at Ft Wilderness and a boat rental from GF

I know this has been probably asked before, but I can't seem to find it. How much are the premium and platinum plans?

For adults approx $150 per person per night on premium, $200 per person per night on platinum. Remember, these plans can only be added to a room and ticket package.

Thanks! We're currently booked at Poly with 6 day PH. We've been looking at the DDP and DxDP. Just wanted to add more info and more confusion to the mix!

I think we want to do parasailing as well. We have not done that before. So the tours you have to schedule way ahead as well? Did you do the fireworks cruise?

Some of the tours book out a long time in advance... we did the Wishes fireworks cruise on Wednesday night - had a 12-seater boat with a guide, which we shared with one other person... left from GF boat dock... took us all the way down to Ft Wilderness and back again with an interesting commentary from the tour guide before lining up near the MK docks to view the fireworks. Unfortunately it was rather cold that night which made DD & DW both rather cranky... could have been worse: night before had been a torrential downpour and thunderstorm... luckily that was the night we were at la Nouba so we only got a bit wet while looking for a taxi.

We tend to book our tours at the time as our dining. I think the latest we've waited is 3 months out. Not all the tours are daily and also have a pretty small group (10 to 16 usually) so they can book up. I'm not saying you need to book as far in advance as we do, but waiting until you get down there will make it tough to get the time you want.

For contrast, we did the illuminations cruise in Oct. Since we stay at CR and are wishes from the room we opted for something different. The cruise leaves from the yacht club and parks under the bridge at the international gateway. Beforehand they took us down toward studios and we saw the top parts of fantasmic. Our cruise was full but that probably depends on day and time of year. I can't wait to see illuminations from the boat again.

I will remember to take a sweater as I will be the cranky one if it is cold. We are a rather large group if we all book together, so I will plan and schedule when I do ADR's or as soon as I can then. Thank you.

I am not sure which cruise to do. We will be at AKL so I doubt we will see any fireworks from our rooms. I am going to try to get a dinner ressie for the California Grill for a time around Wishes so perhaps we will do illuminations as well. How many people were on your boat?

I think there were 10 people (our party of 4 plus 3 couples).

Well I have talked to the adults in our party...we have two rooms, one with 3 of us and one with 4... and they decided on an Illuminations cruise. Is this something I need to book or can the concierge book that for me?

no matter whom you depend on to book it (and yes, i believe concierge can), be sure to get on it asap as you are very close to your booking window...

ENJOY! :flower:

I've never stayed at the GF but I believe there is a character breakfast at 1900 Park Faire and the Grand Floridian Cafe may also serve breakfast.

One of our party just called to see if lobster was available anywhere on the platinum plan.....uhhhh Does anyone know??????

Oh my gosh I know... it is just so hard to figure out times and all that.

I did notice that I am posting way too many questions here. I thank you all for your help and apologize to those that are getting sick of seeing me here. Just don't rename this thread, HELP SUSAN GET THIS STRAIGHT. hahaha

The platinum cruise can only be booked by your planner. I believe it starts booking at 90 days out but you can give the date you want to your planner at 180 and they will book it for you as soon as they can.

Narcoosee's is probably your best bet...

V&A's brought us lobster prepared three different ways as an amuse bouche to start our meal... you simply must do V&A's if you're on the platinum plan - although the tip can end up costing more than most dinners, especially if you do the wine pairings ;)

I did look at V&A's menu. I do plan to work that in but NOT with the kids. They can do some fast food or room service or buffet that night without us. Does that sound like a plan?? I will check out Narcoosee's for the lot of us. Thank you for that help.

was anyones room upgraded? what are the best tours. Did you feel like it was wortht he money
