We are going on the Platinum plan this year and I have a question about some of the signature rest. Are you still charged 2 TS credits at:
Yachtsman
Brown Derby
Victoria & Albert's
Narccoossee's

if you are on the Platinum My Way package?

We went on the Premium plan last year and were never charged 2 table service credits at any meal including breakfast at Cindy's castle.

Just need some clarification as I can't get a straight answer on the Disney website. May have to change one of our ADR's.

Thanks.

I know that we used the Platinum Plan last summer and we were not charged 2 credits when we ate at the signature restaurants but that was 2007 and this 2008. The way I read the current plan it's the same as last year. 3 meals a day no matter where you are eating. Have fun!

platinum or deluxe? platinum offers any three meals any where every day (but if you don't use them it's my understanding that they are not transferrable to the next day... each day you start fresh w/three meals... is this correct??)

deluxe offers three dining credits per night of stay to be used in any combination (you can use five credits one day and one the next if you so choose)...

Heard back from our planner and she stated 1 TS credit per meal per person, no matter where you are eating. All in the plan in the brochure are 1 TS.

Thanks for the responses.

That is very helpful as I am just beginning the task of deciding our ADR's. Now we are staying 5 nights and 6 days...does our plan include the 6th day or is it 3 meals and 2 snacks allotted daily that can be used in any manor or day? Soooo confused.

What about tours and recreation? Have you begun to book them as yet. It seemed unclear to me which things might be additional money and which things were included as unlimited.

You can use them on any day. I have never had a problem using them over 6 days. That is how long we are staying this trip and past trips, 6 Days / 5 Nights. Now, we have never tried to use more than 3 in a day, but using them over 6 days is no problem.

There is a link above in this message thread that will explain the tours and recreation. If you have the use of the Disney Itinerary Planner, get everything you want to do and when they contact you, they will set it up everything including your ADR's.

The link above did not work for me. I'll try it on my other computer and see if I can get it to work. I just wasn't sure that we would need 3 the first day but might want the other 2 for the last day as we are staying until 5 or so. Thank you for your help!

It took me forever to find this post re: the Platinum/Premium Plan. Thank you all for posting.
We are currently booked with the Deluxe plan; however, upon serious considerations, we are leaning more toward the Premium Plan now. I spoke to "probably 4 different CM's" and all of them gave me different interpretations of the Premium plan, as to what's covered and how to use the meal credits and recreations. Go figures!
Actually, I was reading the official brochures as I spoke to most of them. This was the final conclusions from the "most" knowledge CM.
According to the CM:
Premium Plan entitles the guest 3 meal credits per package night.....TRUE
If you have a 5 nights package, you have 15 meals to use until midnight of your check out day.....TRUE
If you are staying for 5 nights package, you technically can still use the "unlimited" use of recreations from the inclusion list until midnight of your check out day.....TRUE
BUT this is where I got confused big time. If we skip a couple of breakfast for the first two days of our stay, does that mean we only have carry-over credits for breakfast only OR we can use the "UN-used" breakfast credits for lunch/dinner for another day? ????
Please help.

That is a great question and I am looking forward to seeing the answer. Having club level we can eat a light breakfast in the lounge and then save those credits for the last day as well...we thought we would be saving them for signature meals but now don't need to.

As a premium and platinum plan veteran (over 10 trips using one or the other), I can tell you that the credits are not meal specific. If you skip breakfast one day, you can use that saved credit for lunch, dinner, late night room service, or whatever on some other day of your trip. On your receipts, credits are just credits - no designation for TS or CS or B,L,D - ie 10 credits remaining.

Let me know if you have any other questions, food or otherwise, about the plan and I'll do my best to answer you.

We planned a stay at the GF.

With the premium plan were could we get a breakfast at the GF?

Sorry for this dumb question

Hooray for Stephanie!!! i have never used the plan and am going to be on the platinum in September. Traveling in a group of 7, with boys 12,17,17. We are big Disney nuts however have just done cruises the past few years. Soooo..... our only for sure plan is the sunrise safari at AKL and that is it. We want a charactor meal but don't know which.... we want a little bit of everything in this trip... have you done the carriage rides or miniature golf? Do you utilize the tours? What is your all time favorite restaurant?

We did the carriage rides at Fort Wilderness for the first time last year in Oct. DH and I really enjoyed it. We went past the Fort Wilderness stables and learned a little about the horse that carries the headless horseman in the MNSSHP parade. We went down the road toward Wilderness Lodge then turned around and came back through a few of the campsites that were decorated for halloween. We opted for a more romantic/quiet ride, otherwise the driver would have spent more time taking us through the decorated campsites. We are planning to do it again after the Hoop Dee Doo this year.

We've done several tours - Backstage Safari at AK, Keys to the Kingdom at MK, and Dolphins in Depth at Epcot. We are also trying out 2 Segway tours this year.

We've never tried the mini-golf, mainly because there is no direct transportation to the courses and I hate having to take a cab.

Have you looked into any of the water recreation? The boys (and adults) might enjoy the jet skis (the younger may have to ride with an adult), parasailing, water skiing/wakeboarding, and water mice. The Contemporary has all of them at their marina. With the exception of water skiing (since I'm horrible at it), I highly recommend the water sports.

My favorite restaurants are Crystal Palace - Winnie the Pooh and choc chip pancakes for breakfast, Yachtsman, and California Grill.

I've never stayed at the GF but I believe there is a character breakfast at 1900 Park Faire and the Grand Floridian Cafe may also serve breakfast.

Thank you. That would be great.
First we planned on staying on concierge level but looking at the premium plan maybe a "normal' room and the PP would be a better deal for us.

My kids are kind of clumsey but I am thinking the water sports could make some very good blooper videos ahem... i mean memories. hahahaha thank you for all your suggestions. I am going to put those restaurants on my list. I have done one charactor breakfast a long time ago at Chef Mickeys but have never done the Winnie the Pooh one. Thank you for your thoughts. Don't disappear... I may have more questions as planning begins. I am waiting so patiently for September times and EMH and all that. hahaha
