We just used the Platinum Plan in November and we loved it; if you plan accordingly you won't regret it!!! I wish we had the $ to have booked it for '05 before the end of '04 but we couldn't
Here's the dining info:
It works as a system of points. Each person gets 4 points per night. So we stayed for 3 nights and could draw from a pool of 12 points. I know it says you get 3 meals and a snack per day, but you can use it however you want. There is *no* distinction between your meal points and snack points. With that said, part of how we used 11 points (couldn't quite fit in that last one!) was that we stayed at POR before/Pop after - checked in at 7 am on the first morning and stayed at Pop the last night. You can use the points until midnight of your check-out day.
So what do you get in a "meal"? Appetizer, entree, dessert, and n/a drink. We were usually allowed to get a n/a smoothie and coffee, but not always. Ask as soon as your server approaches you. Also if you do private dining and it's delivered to your room when you're not there, check your room charge. They charged ours to our room instead of using a point, even though we'd said we were on the Plat. Plan when I ordered - this was an easy fix, but just something to be on the lookout for.
One of the neat things about Platinum is that you can go to Victoria and Albert's. Go there - heck go there every night

If we could go back again on Plat. we'd eat there more than once. You can also get private dining on Platinum. Use this too - one night we ordered chocolate covered strawberries as a snack - yep, our $40 snack - lol! You could also get dinner or breakfast (we did bfast once) through private dining as well.
A lot of components of your package are no longer included on any of the '05 packages, even the Premium, so if you can, def. take advantage of them. V&A and private dining as well as Rainforest Cafe, Fulton's, and Portobello Yacht Club are no longer included this year. Tours that are no longer included are Aqua Seas and Dolphins-in-Depth. A fireworks cruise is included, as well as preferred seating for Fantasmic (same place as the Dining Package). You may have to share with other guests for your cruise - we did for Illuminations, but it was well worth it. You get a "select" spa treatment - we both had the 25 min. Swedish massage which was nice. We just got our Plat. Plan gift and loved it

but I won't spoil that for you.
