Platinum Passport Question

I am just curious why the platinum is so much more expensive per month in orlando. If you get them in san antonio it is only 8 a month with ez pay. Do you get added benefits with the orlando ones?

I guess they figure that being in Texas you only have the one Sea World park close to you and making it out to the Fl,Va and San Diego parks would only be occasional as opposed to someone in Orlando who has the ability to visit Busch Gardens,Sea World,Aquatica and Adventure Island every week.

I first got my Silver passport like in 2001 or so for only Busch Tampa and Sea World Orlando,it was $11.52 a month, like in 2003 I was going to visit Busch in Va and upgraded my pass to Platinum and it only went up to $12 a month which is what I still pay.If I lived a bit closer to Orlando and could go to Aquatica more often I would consider upgrading it to include Aquatica, but to upgrade it the monthly payment would go from $12 to almost $17,OK if I made it to Aquatica 3 or 4 times a year but not likely I would with the other waterpark options of the Disney waterparks,Wet n Wild and Rapids in West Palm which I go about 2-3 times a year.

The Flordia Platinum Pass offers reserved seating at the BGT Moroccan Theater and all SW shows, plus re-ride for Journey to Atlantis and Manta/Kraken/Kumba/Montu/SheiKra/Gwazi.

Nope, NOT on Manta (yet), despite what SeaWorld might tell you.

I have a silver passport (good for all 4 florida parks). We got a thing in the mail to upgrade to include Aquatica. For us at the time, 2/2008, it was about 2$ more per ticket to add it. Of course it re-wrote our contract so it got extended like 8 months vs the original expiration of 4/2009

I would just go to the park and use the ticket. If it doesn't work, head over to Sea World. I wouldn't pay the extra expense of "upgrading" and ruining a really good price that's locked in. Maybe if there's like 3 or 4 new parks that open up, it'll be worth it.

I'm planning to upgrade ours to platinum before prices go up. Right now we pay 14.40$ per adult ticket. And as of current, the price is 17.91$ per month.
Tickets with Aquatica are higher than tickets with Adventure Islands, by 20$.
