Platinum Cruise Gifts

Just got off the Magic, and wanted to let everyone know that the gifts were an old sling-style backpack from years ago, black lanyards, and a beach towel.

September is my first Platinum cruise. Beach towel sounds great...ooh black lanyard... cannot wait, but I have a closet full of the sling bags! LOL

There's another thread on this, seems like they're using up stock of the 'older' CC gifts and lanyards on all ships. Rumor has it there will be new stuff again in June (unclear if that's restock of the 'newer' gifts or something brand new.

Fantasy is giving out the white bags and 25th anniversary lanyards in Europe. Just saw a pic of them.

It's a really bad quality (thin) circular towel with Captain Mickey's head on it... I'll try to find mine and get a photo if OP or someone else isn't able to

Curious about the wet/dry bag as well... on my last cruise a few months ago they were completely out of the Silver bags so were subbing it with the wet/dry bag. It meant anyone Gold and above got two of them instead.

DCL is very stingy with their loyalty rewards and reusing old gifts is not a good look for DCL. I know on Alaska cruises they don’t give beach bags and the sling bag would be a better option. But what would be the “delta” gifts for other CC levels? I’m going to throw it out again - I wish they would just give a credit to the gift shop. That way I can pick my own gift and not have a dozen CC bags in my closet.

I like the idea of a credit for the stores, but then I don't think it would be generous and you might only be able to afford a pin or magnet

Working theory is that the updated ones are caught up in the tariff situation and rather than give nothing, they went to their backstocks.

In terms of "stingy" - I don't know of other lines that give you physical things (other than RCCL with some kind of stupid block and/or pins). It's mostly just a % off drink packages or internet packages.

That would make sense, especially because the EBTA on the Fantasy got the old gifts, but then the first sailing after the EBTA got the new gifts. Seems like they got a restock in Barcelona, and since that's outside the US the new gifts weren't caught up in the tariff situation.

B2B Cruises on the Wonder out of SD this year in May.

On the first cruise we received: "It's time to Cruise" bag - white color, wet/dry bag towel and black color lanyard.
On the second cruise we received: the sling-style backpack - Blue color, wet/dry bag, towel and blue color lanyard.

Do you mean the pink tumblers with the plastic lid? We got those on our Wish cruise a couple of weeks ago.
