I decided to order 5 platinum passes this morning. I think it is a good deal, but would like to hear from people that have or have had them. Do you think they are worth the money? If you aren't a Florida resident and you are a platinum pass holder do you feel that it has been worth it as far as savings go, meaning the discounts on food etc... and if you have used them for any other parks?
I have justified the expense by figuring that we will go to Sea World at least twice if not three times while on our trip in Aug., and spend at least one day although hoping for two at Busch Garden. I then said to myself that if we go to Sesame Place once and Williamsburg once in the fall that the tickets will have pretty much paid for themselves. Good logic or pretzel logic?

I think you need to figure out how many parks you will visit and see if the pass is worth it. If you're going to visit a lot of AB parks, then the Platnium Pass is worth it. I bought a Six Flags season pass for around $55 and I justified it because I spent 3 days at Six Flags parks. It was $18.33 for each park, which is a bargain considering most Six Flags parks are $30-$40 for a day's admission.

I am trying to justify the expense that way. Now I'm saying to myself that it means I must get back to Florida next year at least once and then again before the passes expire. It'll kill me but I guess I'll make the sacrafice!

I'm the opposite. Have the gold pass for BGT/SWF, but next year I'll renew with Plantinum and get BGW, because that park is da bomb.

If you're going to fly between BGW and BGT/SFW then it's worth it.

BGW is a must see park each year. I'm blown away by the landscaping, music, and appearance of the park.

When I spoke to my husband yesterday I told him about the passes. He thinks they are a good deal too. BGW is within driving distance for us (maybe a six hour drive?), and so is Sesame place, both places for some unknown reason we haven't gone to yet. So he said we'll have to do a cople of long weekends throughout the year. Don't need to twist my arm.
I am planning to go three time to sea world on this upcoming trip. The first week I am staying with a friend and her son at the DTD Courtyard, not doing Disney though just DTD and Disney Quest, so we will go to Sea World once. Then we are moving over to Universal (Portofino). She will stay 2 nights and fly out on Sun. The plan is that he will fly in on that Sun. and we will stay 3 more nights. We will then move over to the Renaissance Sea World for 2 nights and spend 2 more days at Sea World. Then we will go to Busch Gardens, I am just trying to figure out if we should spend 1 or 2 days there. Probably 2. Now I just need to decide on a hotel in Tampa.
So the passes will already have started to pay off, not to mention the discounts on food, merchandise and parking!

Are plantium passes good for more than one Sea World location? the options I have for San Antonio Sea World are only gold and silver, and they offer 1/2 off the other Sea World or Busch Gardens, not free entry.

My six flags season pass is good for any Six flags.

The Platnium Pass is good for admission to all AB parks in the US except for Discovery Cove.

I too think the Platinum passes are worth the money. I'm buying some also for an upcoming trip in September where we will only be doing SW and US/IOA, Disneyquest and DTD and maybe getting BG in there also but no Disney parks this time around. I'm anxious to have these passes as I can also use them here for SW San Antonio

I'm planning on getting the Platinum pass for a Sept. trip.
I figure the pass is good for two years. I'll go to SWF in Sept., then I'll be at SW San Diego in Dec.
Usually make 1-2 visits to Sesame Place during the summer.
I've been wanting to visit BGW, so now I'll have an excuse.
With the discounts on food, merchandise, buying tix for whoever goes with me and parking, I definitely thinks it's a great deal.
And I know I'll be back in Florida within the next 2 years.:D

The Platinum pass also has some "Home Park" benifits that make it WELL worth the money. For instance...reserved seating at ALL shows at SW and at the Morroccan Palace at BGTB. Also you get immediate ride again access to Montu, Kumba, Gwazi (worth the pass right there), JTA, and Kraken.

I would stay with the Platinum pass for sure. I love mine.

Platinum is the way to go. The free parking is a really nice benefit also. I agree that the Williamsburg park is awesome! Landscaping makes this park my favorite. Lucking out this year and making a second visit to Williamsburg this year in September!

Has anyone gotten a DC discount with the Premium Pass? It says on the website they send these out sometimes. How good was the discount ? We are considering buying these for our Oct. trip. Thanks!

We bought a Platinum pass this year and we live in NJ.

Our vacation plans this year included Disney & SeaWorld in June, Busch Gardens Williamsburg in August, and Sesame Place whenever we want since we only live 40 minutes away.

We have already spent a total of 12 days in AB parks so far in '03 (3 at SW, 5 at BGW and 4 at Sesame Place).

The tickets have already paid for themselves and we have only had them for 4 months.

We plan on going back to SWO and BWG in '04 so we couldn't be happier that we bought the Platinum passes.

Discovery Cove: you can get a Platinum pass discount at the end of the year when it is not busy. Usually between September and December. The dolphin swim is 239.00, but with the discount it is only $199.00.

While I know you asked about non Florida residents, getting an annual pass to any theme is generally a good idea. I'm lucky enough that I live literally across the street from Sea World and take my daughter there almost every weekend. I've already saved tons of $$ on parking, discounts on food, etc.
