plastic pool chairs?!?!

We bought DVC at the Villas at California and stayed there last fall. I loved the pool chairs! The cushions were at least 4 inches thick and so comfortable! Sadly we didn't have much time to enjoy them. Now we are deciding where to stay at WDW for our vacation next year. I was looking a pictures of the Boardwalk and the pool chairs looked like they were plasitic. Is this the case? What about the chairs at other DVC resorts? We are thinking of trying to stay at the wilderness lodge and/or Kandina. Thanks for any info.

I don't think any WDW resorts have padded pool chair. Probably because of the humidity and rain. They would probably deteriorate and get moldy very quickly.

I was noticing the same thing when looking at photos of OKW at DVCNews.com, the villa's patio chairs look like plastic. But the ones at the pool looked like aluminum with the straps. And when I checked the photos of BWV the pool chairs looked similar.

We have stayed at BLT, and the pool chairs were nice heavy aluminum with mesh seats. I know at Jambo House they were similar. We have not stayed at Kidani as yet. But walking through Wilderness Lodge on the way to the ferry I noticed the pool area and the main pool had the aluminum chairs but can't remember if they had straps or mesh.

It does look like VGC has the most comfy chairs. The entire decor at VGC is very well done and it appears to be well made too.

Yep, the pool furniture at VGC are luxe. The DW resorts are your basic plastic strap loungers and plastic chairs.

Not all of them. SSR & BLT have the mesh. Can't remember 100% about the others.

After being a DVC member since 1993 and only utilizing the DW villas UNTIL these last 2 weeks, I can vouch that the lounge chairs at the GC villas are superior!!! It was amazing the difference overall between that one resort and ALL of the DW resorts! They could all take a few lessons from CA.

Thanks to all for the info. I'm sad though I really loved those VGC chairs. Guess we'll just have to get back to california!
