We ordered and received the PH's today and they are like a credit card. Also a shopping card for DTD, coupon for Marceline's and 10% merchandise at the World of Disney.
About time they went to plastic, they will tolerate the abuse much better.

We received ours last week... 3 day PH with a cool picture of Mickey on them! Very cool. I am so excited!!

Ooooooooooh Awwwwww..... plastic!! :goodvibes

Finally I do not have to worry about my PH melting in my pocket if I drenched on a ride!

We are getting AP's when we go in August but purchasing the PH's first so we get the use of EE and then upgrading. I was going to wait to buy them but now I might just buy the PH's in advance so I get PLASTIC!!!

I ordered my PH tickets through the Disneyland Website and are paper. I wonder if they can be exchanged at the gate. I'm always concerned about the fragility of the paper ones.

I purchased 2 of the "Passporter" holders for our WDW trip a couple of years ago, so even if I'm stuck with the paper ones, they should be well protected in them.

We have always used teh paper ones until last trip when we purchased them from Safeway. The plastic ones were easy and don't bend like the paper ones. One thing that helps us a bunch, paper or plastic (like grocery bags lol), is the ticket/FP lanyard. It is so easy to organize them and not lose them in a wallet or bag.

I ordered my ticket by way of the DL site as an E ticket; when I redeem it at the gate, will I receive a plastic ticket, too, do ya think?

Did the same thing in June. We received the wax paper ones. They didn't melt or anything and the water from Splash didn't damage them, although I wouldn't take them swimming with me.

SunDD, did you take any precautions in transporting those flimsy pieces of paper from your printer that represented you *expensive* park tickets?

Or did you drive your own car...? I'm flying, just taking a carryon, and a bit worried that something will happen to my voucher (or whatever you call that thing that printed out) during the trip.:guilty:

We had the hard plastic tickets last Janurary. While we were waiting at the gate, a nice CM told us that we could use them for more than one early entry since they could not be punched to show you had used the early entry feature all ready. I don't know if that is still true, but it we went to two early entries in Jan.

Oooooooooo, I ordered mine on Sunday and paid to have them shipped (didn't want to deal with the e-ticket thing). I hope they are plastic too.

We called directly and did not know they were going to be plastic until the GF saw them. Brother ordered thru the online and he received paper..not sure what triggers the different tickets other than these are called "souvenier" (sp) tickets. Your guess is as good as mine. Happy they are plastic.

Drat! Mine came today and they are paper. I was also hoping to get the coupons that you got. I just got one coupon for World of Disney.

For those who got the plastic tickets, did you get the online price or were they the regular price that you pay at the gate?

We asked for and received the on line price. GF stated that the person who took our order was going to give us on line price anyway. I hope we get EE each day it is offered with these tickets like previously stated, but if we do not, such is life.

I was curious about this so I called DL ticketing and they said it was a week promotion and that you could pay a couple extra dollars for the plastic. They said it caused to many problems so they discontinued it after its tiral run. pirate:

We paid nothing extra. We paid 199.00 x 6 ( 6 day PH's) for the tickets and got the extra's. I wonder what the problems were?

Interesting. I booked my upcoming trip via Disneyland.com in about April, I think. We leave in 2 days. I got my packet about 2 weeks ago and we have the plastic cards. I just assumed that was the new ticket for everyone. Last time I went, they were paper.

So, should I try to do EE more than once?

I forgot to say in my first post that we did order the 5-day park hopper pass. I wonder if the number of days triggers a different ticket type?

If you think of it, try the EE and see what happens. Please let me know. If you do not I will. Looks like we have 16 days and I am finally back home and back to work at the normal mundane job.

I purchased 5-Day PHs too...but not a package. Maybe you have to get the package to get the plastic tickets. :confused3
