We have been offered an exchange through Interval at the Plantation Village Beach Resort on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

Has anyone stayed there? What was it like? Did you enjoy the resort, the rooms, the beach, and its facilities?

We'd appreciate any and all comments.

Thanks

I haven't stayed at that particular resort; however I have been to the Cayman Islands several times. If you are a diver, you'll love it - some of the best diving to be had in the Caribbean. If you are not a diver - my advice would be to try another island. I found the Caymans to be very, very expensive (food, etc.) and the beaches were not that much better than other islands in the Caribbean. There isn't that much to do, other than hang out on the beach. The golf courses are only so-so. You can spend one afternoon or morning swimming with the rays (I think this is on Cayman Brac). But all in all, I wan very unimpressed with the Caymans, primarily because of the astronomical cost of just about anything.

I haven't stayed there either but a birdie told me it is an older resort, well maintained but certianly below the standards of DVC. There is a $95 utilities fee last I heard. It probably has the best timeshare location on Caymans but there are other resorts that are nicer.
