We 're leaving for FLA in 4 weeks. 4 days at Vero Beach and then over to WDW for 10 days. We're looking forward to some relaxing time while at VB but I was wondwering what if we get bored while there? What activities are in the area to keep us from pulling our hair out?

Well... don't know if you have children, but VB does a superior job of keeping the kids occupied with games, activities, and events throughout the day. If you are just two.... the beach is the best. If you don't have a body board, stop by Ron Jons and get one. VB has the best waves for body boarding. On the way down to the ocean stop by the pool snack bar and get yourself a Long Island Iced Tea! (Warning...! alcohol) at a very decent price! If you like nature, walk over to the lake across the highway (use the tunnel that goes under the highway), and have a picnic, or walk the nature course. Don't forget that the Kennedy Space Center is less than an hour away. We are headed for VERO tomorrow  For the first time we will spend more than 4 days.... We are sooooo looking forward to it. There is no way we will ever feel bored. There are a lot of other things to do, but I am sooo content with riding the waves that I can't think of them at this moment. Hope others will fill in the gaps I have left. Have a great trip.

Kind of depends what you like to do --- There are small shops to poke around in on the ocean in Vero Beach proper. There is a larger mall and outlet shopping out on State Road 60. You might enjoy taking a ride down A1A checking out the coast line and the area homes. You could even drive down to Palm Beach for the day. There are also golf courses in the area that Disney can arrange for you to play. Just some random thoughts.

Thanks Rob, it's just the two of us, no kids!!!

Well then... we're early to bed and early to rise, but you might check out the green room. They have live entertainment nightly, I believe nightly?. If you are thrill seekers... you might just get a hurricane... just joking! Ok, that's not even funny. Sorry. On the other hand if you like smores and campfires, then they have that nightly too. Just be sure to bring the Cutter Advanced bug repellent (no-see-ums! bad...) If you like the water... like I said before buy yourself a body (boogy) board. A tip... some people avoid the droves of children playing in the ocean... don't... sharks like bright colors and are attracked to all the jumping and screaming... you'll be safer staying near them :rotfl: Just kidding again... sure I just PO'd some mom or dad. Makes sense though... doesn't it? I'll stop now... Have a wonderful time and don't worry about being bored.
