so originally there were 5 of us going me dh ds8 ds3 and husbands buddy. So we were going to book a 2 bedroom at staybridge, now buddy can't get time of to go (*&^% we already booked his flight). Now I don't know If I want to stay there because we don't need such a big room.
I am looking for some room recomendations and I am having trouble sifting through all the info so I thought I get some advice here.

this is what I am looking for

7 days
-Must have free full breakfast ( my kids are little animals if they do not eat soon after getting up)
-would be cool if the kids had thier own beds ie bunkbeds
-must be clean
-would like free parking
- be able to rent movies at night

does not:
- need to be fancy
- be within walking distance

would like to spend less than $150 a night

thanks for the help

I don't really have a suggestion for you, but I wanted to give you some food for thought.

Breakfast at the hotel usually doesn't start early enough to get to Disneyland in a good time before the gates open. Getting there late puts you behind all the people there before you, and since being there early can really make a morning *incredible*, it's well worth doing whatever you can to get there early. I stayed at the Carousel once and only had time to grab coffee and some nasty donut to go before I had to book it over to the entrance so I could be there at a good time.

For us, we have foods that get us through. Juice (milk if you drink it), granola bars, or some sort of protein bar (we love Clif brand MoJo bars and my son LOVES their Z-bars)...those get us through so we can get to the gates, have a GREAT 2 hours or so, then we'll stop for a more proper meal. Even having PB&J, if you can eat peanuts of course), in a baggie can be great to take to the parks, and help you get the most done that you can. I'm not talking about running everywhere, I'm just talking about being there early enough so you're ahead of the pack so you don't *have to* run. :)

And then some thoughts on hotels!

This is about hotels where you're using a car, and this is the same writer's hotel rule.

Just some things to think about! :)

I just have to add that I love StayBridge! It was our favorite stay out of the 6 times travelling to the anaheim area. The space was nice after all day at the park, the breakfast was yummy, and the pool area with BBQ was really nice too. I would stick with Staybridge.

We stay at the Park Vue. So according to your list:
Breakfast - yes, free, full hot breatfast starting at 6:30 am (there was a note in our room last time saying that to accomodate people going to DL for MM, they are starting earlier now).
bunkbeds - yes
clean - yes, IMO
free parking - yes (or included in price, wasn't listed as separate charge)
movies - not sure, but you could call and ask.

Fancy - nope
Walking distance - directly across the street from DLR.

In addition, they also have a free social hour from 5 - 7 pm with snacks, drinks etc (our night it was salad, soup and nachos).

Our price for a Friday night - $12X (I think $122 or $126 AAA rate) - total after taxes, etc was $141.

The Residence Inn on Harbor has bunkbeds, free parking, free breakfast that starts early (and it's pretty good with hot and cold items), a kids' movie room, it's a nice property. It may be under your $150 budget.

I second the vote for the Residence Inn Garden Grove on Harbor. You get a 1 bedroom which means privacy for you and hubby, nice rooms, free breakfast, also a free afternoon snack (which we kinda turn into dinner). Parking free at hotel, but you'll end up either ART-ing or paying for parking at DL (with 4 people its prolly cheaper and more convenient to just park at the structure ... plus kids love the ridiculously high escalators).
