Hi everyone,

I posted before saying our dates would be May 24-May 28 (Mon-Fri) right before Memorial Day...now, due to some problems w/ work, we had to either cancel our trip or change the dates to May 28-June1 (Fri.-Tues).

We were pretty happy before thinking we'd just be home before the crowd hits, but now we'll be THERE during the crowds on Memorial Day weekend.

Can somebody tell me how it REALLY is during those times? I know the Flower and Garden Festival will still be there and so will Star Wars Weekend. :crowded: and I know it'll be HOT:sunny: ...but I didn't want to cancel...NEVER GIVE UP A CHANCE TO GO TO WDW!!! ;)

But I'm just a bit worried about the crowds...and I've read some threads where ppl do get a bit...hmmm..."unfriendly"...when it's crowded.

Should I cancel and go another time or grin and bear it? :(

The Flower and Garden Festival probably won't impact crowds much, and neither will Star Wars weekends. Yeah, it'll be busy that weekend... but if you go in with a good plan, make use of Fastpass, and try to relax, you should still have a great time! Plus, the parks will be open late, so you can probably take the middle of the day off and come back during the cooler evening hours. Just don't stress out... I know, easier said than done ;)

I hope you have a great trip if you still decide to go... we'll be arriving June 1st, so we'll be right behind you! :sunny:

We always go in the summer and love it. Yes the crowds will be out for the weekend and yes, it could be hot. Dress accordingly, get your FPs and make your PSs for meals so that you will never have to wait in lines.
Take a late morning one day at your resort and work on your tan while breakfasting by the pool. The you can take full advantage of staying at one of the parks late until after it closes.
And finally, to us, the crowds are part of the experience--what would WDW be without them!!

WDW on June 24:wave2: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Thanks, I know I shouldn't pass up the chance to go to WDW no matter how crowded it gets...(but sometimes I just HATE lines:rolleyes: )...you're both right, I should just go and relax and enjoy it!

Actually, I totally forgot about my PS's, I have to call and change them around!

Hope to see you there!

:teeth: :teeth:

Those are our exact park day dates, and I'm a little nervous too. The way I see it, however, is it's our first WDW trip ever, so we won't know what we're missing crowd-wise.:D No matter what, it will be fun. I have an itinerary, but I'm willing to be flexible. If we keep that attitude, it will be a good time!

I know we have to keep a good attitude about it...after all, it is WDW!

I just got off the phone w/ JetBlue and the price for our new flight was $125 more but they waived the flight change service fee. Which helps.

So, now I'm pretty excited...:sunny:

We will be there May 28 to June 2. This is our first holiday weekend experience. When we go in Feb we usually plan for the week after President's Day or the week before....so, we really never experience the crowds or the hot weather! This time it looks to be both:tongue: But... turn down a trip to WDW? NEVER!
