Ok, I know WDW..all the ends..outs etc.... BUT I have only been to DL once about 7/8 years ago.....

I am having trouble scheduling my trip...without park hrs how do people schedule breakfasts with the characters (hotel and park).....dinners at the hotels..etc ..we have hoppers...staying at a good neighbor hotel.

AND throwing Mickey's morning madness vouchers, Magic morning vouchers in the mix ..I am at a lost. :scared1:

We are arriving mid day on a Sunday-Thursday all day leaving Friday (no park time) I was trying to figure out if we can do Mickey's morning madness then go to Minnie and friends breakfast..BUT I don't know what time to even try to make it or what time on that day Mickey's morning madness is 9am or 10am.. :confused3

I am confused ANY guidence..insight..help with schedules would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks, I have read it and it offers some great advice BUT still at a loss especially trying to schedule meals on MM,Toontown mornings etc...especially since I will make dining ressie's before park hours are posted.

What do most of you do?

Example: If I wanted to do mickey's Toontown on Monday with my voucher I have no idea what time the park opens that day either 9 or 10 (estimated). I believe Toontown opens 1 hour after park opening, but with the voucher I can go in at rope drop..lets say it's 9am opening....and I want to do Minnie and friends breakfast....do they do early bookings like WDW..say 7:30? So were sure to be done by park opening?

I guess you just have to guess the park hrs. when booking breakfast reservatons.........and if they don't work once hrs are posted try to re book.
Are DL resturaunts hard to get into like WDW? We are going in May after Mothers day BUT before Memorial day.

Part of you confusion may be due to the below.

Magic Mornings, MM, are when DL opens an hours early, letting people into Fantasyland and Tomorrowland only. It happens on Tue, Thur, Sat and Sun. It's limited to resort guests and once a visit to anyone with a 3 day or longer hopper. It's similiar to a morning EMH in WDW.

Mickey's Toontown Madness, MTTM, is when Toontown opens an hour early and has a opening celebration and charcters out to meet. It happens on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat. It's limited to guest with a special ticket that comes with travel packages sold by Disney. It happens at 9am when the park opens for general guests at 8am, or 9am whe it opens at 9am or 10am when it opens at 10am.

A common mistake is calling Magic Mornings, Morning Madness and mixing up the two. Don't worry it happens all the time.

First, Tony, breathe.... :goodvibes

Ready?

DL eateries are NOT the crazed mess of mankind that WDW ones are. We are MUCH more chill here and you can often get in without any priority seatings at all. Especially the character breakfasts.

For Minnie and Friends info, check out this DISboards link on www.wdwinfo.com - our park information site.

You can always call 714-781-DINE for additional information.

I guess you didn't read that thread, because you are applying WDW knowlege to DLR where is doesn't apply.

This will answer you question. You can only make a reservation two months out. The DLR calendar usually goes 6 weeks out sometime 8. If you call Disney Dining they will know the hours two months out even if it isn't posted online for us.

Only a couple things require far out reservations, for your time a week will be plenty.

I've sometimes noticed that the dining reservation people know the schedule when you call at the 60 day mark. Not always, but it's happened twice for me that they knew a time that wasn't posted online yet.

We have AP's and had breakfast with Minnie and Friends on New Years Eve '11. Since we have Ap's and do not have the early entry, we made our priority seating at 7:30 am and was able to enter the park early for breakfast. They will have a gate for reservations only, it was gate 1 with a hostess there checking you in. There was no problem with getting in early, we were given our Minnie and Friends breakfast buttons and headed to the lockers then to Plaza Inn for Breakfast.
If that is something that you would like to do, then you do not need to worry if it is an Early entry day.

As for the reservations at other dining areas, it really is nothing like WDW. You can call the priority seating number 60 days out . We are going March 14-17th, I called last week and there were many times for Minnie and Friends as well as Blue Byou.

Hope this helps ;)

You really can wait till park times are posted before even worrying about making reservations. No need or reason to do it before then. And when you do make reservations for Minnie's I would not do it on a MM day. I you make a reservation for Minnie's on a day with out MM you can make that res for before the park opens and then eat without losing good park time when its slower. I would advise you do your mm on one day and minnies on another.

And if you are doing a TT morning madness you should do that on a seperately day from both. Although you could do Minnie's and then go to TT but I think it's better to spread those 3 things out each to diff days.

Thanks to all....I read the sticky BUT I do tend to see things differently when written sometimes...especially when Wdw policies, programs are playing in my head.

Thanks... I was also way over thinking. Also until I read the sticky I never thought about doing breakfast at DL park and going to d a for the rest of the day. Does anyone know if DCA has the toy story stampede and long standby that DHS does?

This is useful info and helpful for those of us who are, shall we say, wound a little tight when it comes to planning things out.

RE tsmm, I don't know about a stampede but there is no FP. The line will be long all day. You could try to get there first but it is in the back of the park, so lots will distract you trying to get there. In the AM we were always in DL. rode it in the evenings, just before WOC one night and during woc on another night and wait was 15 min. This was on weekdays in feb.

TSMM at DCA is different than DHS. No FP. A mini-stampede happens in the morning that is nothing like DHS. And queues that are much shorter.
