This upcoming trip is the first time we've done a mid-week to mid-week trip. We usually arrive and leave on a Saturday. I'm starting to regret planning to arrive on Wednesday and leave on Tuesday. I don't know why. I am pulling the kids out of school, so they'll miss Wednesday, Thurs and Fri, and then Mon and Tues of the next week. I hope that this wasn't a mistake....wondering if it would make a difference if they were missing 5 full days in a row.

Anyone else usually travel mid-week to mid-week and is there a reason why you'd rather travel that way? Or is Sat to Sat better?

We are going Tues to Tues in October- the airfare was a lot cheaper and we had better room availability.

We're going on a Sun, leaving on Fri. Leaving on a cruise on Sun.

We always go weekend 1 (Saturday check in) and leave weekend 2 (Sunday check out) just to get in a longer trip. If it doesn't effect the number of days you stay, I don't see what difference it makes. Bonus--your kids will be at school for each week partially and may "feel" like they are missing less.

This is our first year going midweek (W-W). I actually think it's a good idea for the kids to miss a little of two different weeks instead of one full week. Airfare was cheaper fo us (but its the end of August so I won't have to pull my son out of school).

We went from a Friday to a Friday. My biggest thing was that I wanted the weekend to rest before going back to work. It worked out great for us. I could not imagine coming home and having to go to work the next day. I love Disney but you HAVE to have a mini rest vacation from that vacation.

Have fun, the kids will be fine.

We are going on a Fri and returning on Sun(2 week-ends), Kids will still miss 5 days but get extra with the week-end :Pinkbounc

We are leaving on Friday and coming back the following Saturday. I like to have at least a full day at home to rest and do laundry before going back to work and the kids to school. Seems I always need a vacation after my vacation.

We're going Tues thru Tues, I heard the airfare was cheaper, just did a search and my T-T airfare is running $300 RT (I got it less than that tho!) and then I did a Sat - Sat 1 ticket RT 1,416.90!!! :faint:
