Planning your holiday

Michelle you are so right about the difference in size to DLRP and WDW. I'd read (in Simon's book) about the size and distance between the parks but when I actually saw it I was amazed. I stupidly thought that the different parks were kind of next to each other like in Paris. I didn't realise the scale of the map that shows you where the parks are in relation to each other. We shop around and get passes for WDW and Universal for our entire stay and just bounce between the two and it seems to work.

Its definately a good start Michelle, as long as you know some parks are definately more than 1 day (we usually get the best part of 3 days for epcot! - my son spends hours in innoventions) and you can switch according to weather, have you actually booked any dinner show? which one? and have you booked any character meals, please let us know so we can share your excitement! :Pinkbounc
We have booked Arabian Nights, as we love horses, we have 3 naughty ponies, Delboy, Spirit and Beauty. I read all the Black Stallion as a girl and my daughters have the books and DVD's. Although I have read mixed comments on this show I am under no false illusions about the food considering the price of the tickets, but from the website the show looks Fab :flower:

Haven't booked any character meals.

Looks like a good start :teeth:

Do you have any plans on where you are going to eat??
No Alan!! with 4 children I think we will play it by ear, mostly fast food and as we are staying off site will probably eat at restraunts off site.

From DLP trips we found the restraunts pricey and crowded.

Have I got it wrong? Should I plan where we eat?

Not absolutely necessary but if you did want to book a dinner show or character meal then you're better off booking, check out allearsnet for dining sample menus and prices. or if you're wanting a wishes or illuminations cruise thats a must book.
As you're going in Jan it'll be fairly quiet but popular meals like Cindys will still get booked up
