Our 2nd WDW trip is in May and I am planning on buying the Unofficial guide 07. I wanted to get advice on whether it would also be beneficial to join the website that is affiliated with that book. Also the Tour Guide Mike site looks cool. Will I have what I need once I have the book or should I join these other sites as well? I'd like a touring plan, not just ideas! :) What do you think?

To be truly honest with you, I wouldn't pay any more than the book. Maybe you could order the *free* dvd, because we got ours a couple of weeks ago, and it contained all the park maps. Look through the maps, circle the things you want to do, go to the boards and ask what activities/rides/etc. that you don't know what it is, then come here and look up the answers. Trust me, I bought one book back in 2001 when I was too busy to ever get online. The book did teach me a lot, but now that I'm addicted to disney and discussions, about it, I realize everything in that book is right here for free.
Now it is fun to plan it all out, make your adr's (this needs to be done asap, if you didn't yet), etc. I always involve the kids in adr's and they get to laughing, having good memory talks even 6 months before we leave, etc. I thought about putting together a little three ring binder together this year, or make a little book online and print it out. In your book, you could include adr resv#s, of course lol, plan what parks to go to what days, make a print out of the snacks that are eligible if you have the ddp which is found under dis dining board, put names of stores you want to see, shows you want to go to, and so much more can be included, yet no more money spent worthlessly and your knowledge learned here is free.

I like Tour Guide Mike and use his service before every trip. I find his information on least/most crowded parks worth every penny. Also his vacation articles were informative. I have adopted his philosophy and approach to touring the parks and I have to admit I have more fun and more importantly I actually relax now in WDW! I know sounds hard to believe.
