Planning Weddings for those Not-yet Engaged!

Mandy! That dress is absolutely stunning!!!!

Well, DBF is clueless as to what to get me for anniversary, lol. But i'm not saying anything, I want him to figure it out. XD
I'm in the same predicament though, I was going to order that book from Blurb, but there's no way it will get here in time, so I'm leaving that for Christmas.

Personal reasons. DBF is in the process of interviewing with two different companies, one in Baton Rouge and the other in Chicago. We're really rooting for the Chicago job :cheer2:. If he gets it we'll probably be moving before the end of the year, possibly even before or right after Thanksgiving. I don't know if I could afford to fly to Palm Beach for Christmas with my family and then fly to Orlando just 2 weeks later for the marathon. I priced it out and for airfare, hotel, and transportation alone it would be right around $700 for a Thursday-Monday trip at one of the Downtown Disney hotels :scared1:

Ouch! :scared1: That's extremely expensive!
I had to cancel on my WDW CP this Fall because of health and personal reasons, though the health reasons where a major part of it, the other part was not wanting to be away from my DBF for 6 months, I'm not sure I would've made it...

Maybe he wants you to think he is clueless ;)

I know, I priced it out on Expedia and nearly had a heart attack. That doesn't include food either or any other miscellaneous expenses. If I don't go, I'll be out $100 because of the non-refundable registration fee, but that is still better then $700+.

I'm so sorry to hear about the personal reasons.. hopefully things workout.

Oh no, it is quite alright. Thank you though :goodvibes
As much as I am looking forward to the marathon weekend, DBF getting this job would be so good for us both. I'm more then willing to sacrifice that one weekend in order to better ourselves in the long run. If he gets the job he would be making almost twice as much as he is now, we would be able to move out of our horrible apartment and I would be able to quit my awful job and find something better in a bigger city :woohoo:

Oh no! That's ridiculous! I'm sorry you might not be able to go to WDW for the marathon...BUT I'm definitely sending you some pixiedust: for your boyfriend's new (hopefully!) job!

I'm really, really hoping he gets it. DBF said to me that if he gets the job, we would finally be able to start saving up for a house, engagement, wedding and family

Morning girls!

ArelysAdriana Sorry to hear that! But moving to Chicago sounds like it could be great!!!

Anyways...now ya'll have me thinkin about cake... I've NEVER given it a thought... all your amaretto ideas sound so fancy... I"m all for a marble cake.. but just pretty on the outside :) And...doesn't the groom get to choose his cake? My DBF will probably choose an ACE of spades or something... lol

I am not sure about the layers.
Nothing to funky.
I am not really a fan of frosting...so

I want one layer with choc cake w/ cream cheese frosting...
Who knows...
the cake is never something I thought about.

This is pretty, I am either going to go stylish or i just may have to go funky and get a topsy turvey cake since it will be a vegas wedding and all.

I still like this one better, but it may just be the way the picture is. So romantic.
Yea, it's the same one!! It just looks so much better when she's lying down :lmao:
