Planning way ahead for Hyperion & Rogers The Musical

Okay, so in all of my many many DLR visits, I have never seen a show at the Hyperion. (We're more rides, food & fireworks people when we're there, since I go see a lot of live theatre outside of the park.) But, my best friend and I are HUGE Captain American fans so we'll be in the parks on July 1st, the day after Rogers: The Musical opens. I know it will likely be crowded that first weekend, but that is the ONLY weekend she'll be able to see it, so we want to make it a priority. So.... advice please.

1. Do we make DCA our starting park and try to make the first showing? Or do we make DL our starting park and come over in the afternoon to catch a show?
2. I know showtimes aren't out and won't be for a while, but based on shows in the past, any estimate as to what showtimes will look like?
3. We will have one person in an ECV with us (she can transfer to a regular seat, but cannot walk long distances or stand), so will that help us get in or make it more difficult because we'll be limited as to where we can sit?
4. Any other tips or tricks to help us?

This is obviously a HUGE priority for us, but we don't want to make it our entire day if we can avoid that. I go to the parks monthly, but my friend hasn't been since before COVID and hasn't seen Avengers Campus, MMRR or ROTR yet, so we definitely want to hit those as well.

We havent been there since Alladin. But they will have three sets of cues- floor level, balcony and mezzanine. When we go to the theater, we prefer a first row mezzanine/ balcony over the floor so we can get a full view of the stage. We found on our multiple trips to see Alladin, every crowds to the floor level cue first. Since they cue outside, you can easily see when its getting to point where you need to get in line or too crowded so wait for the next show. Just a recommendation

They used to have dining packages for Frozen. They might do the same for this, so if it’s a priority, I’d keep an eye out in case they announce anything. Otherwise you may want to make DCA your starting park so you can line up early. Frozen only had a few shows a day, but I’m guessing they could have more shows a day since it’s only 30 minutes vs. about an hour for Frozen.

I don't usually grumble about the reservation system and park-hopping rules like a lot of people do, but this is the one occasion I'm like... welp, this is a pain.

Hopefully, they start to release more details/schedules when we get closer, and don't wait until the last second.

With the ECV, you’ll probably be stuck sitting on the ground level. I would have DCA be your starting park for that day because a Marvel musical is a wild card in terms of a draw. Frozen (which was longer and had fewer showings per day) could get crowded over holiday weekends (especially when it was new), and July 4 weekends have historically been bad with crowds. As they actually get close to launching the show, they’ll announce showtimes, but anticipate needing to get in line early in the day. If crowd hopping limitations are still in place, it should make it easier to see the show in the morning because you won’t have to deal with the Disneyland crowds making their way over just yet.

I would always grab a snack before getting in line, and would time getting in line with the show times (ex. The show starts at 11:15, make a plan to get in line for the next showing at 11:15).
