Hi all..I am planning a two week vacation for 10 People in June of 2016 and we are staying off site. I really do not know where I should book. We want to be close to Disney World with a beautiful house or villa to fit all of us. We would like to have lots of room and definetely have pools and eaterys. We went last year to Orlando and stayed at the Vistana Resort. We would of loved to stay there again this time buut there is nothing large enough to accomodate us all. Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated :)

How about a 3 bedroom at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. Max occupancy in a 3 bedroom is 10. WBC is an AMAZING resort just down the street from CBR and a short drive away from DtD. We LOVE it there.

Windsor Hills is also a good choice (it's our go to when WBC is booked), but it's a bit further away than WBC. There are many single family homes there than can accommodate 10.

There are some great homes in reunion resort and also championsgate all with pools that will fit 10 people.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek 4 BR Presidentials accommodate 12. Those villas are amazing, with two King bedrooms and two others with double-doubles, and 4 bathrooms. 2200-2500 square feet, four bathrooms, everybody has a real bed -- what's not to like?

There are not many 4BR presidentials, so you would need to be booking right about now through one of the WBC renters often discussed on this forum. Do NOT book directly with Wyndham -- it will be a fortune. Renting a reservation through one of the owners who rents will be quite reasonable.

Wyndham at Reunion 3 BRs accommodate 10 -- two King bedrooms, one double-double, and a queen sleeper, with 3 bathrooms. 1530 square feet. Same strategy -- rent from an owner.

Both resorts are very nice, with LOTS of pools, water activities, and amenities.

thanks so much...do you have someone I can contact..or is there a site where the owners try to rent out their accommodations ?
Sorry totally new at this...I have always stayed on site except for the Vistana resort last year. We loved it so much my husband thinks we should just rent two 2 bedrooms units :)
but this sounds really awesome as well....I am very curious

If you do a search for Bonnet Creek rentals, I'm sure you'll get a lot of threads. I'm a Wyndham owner, so I have never rented accommodations there, but many folks here have. You just have to look around a little on this forum.

As far as websites, TUG (www.tug2net.com) and Redweek (www.redweek.com) both have rental sections. I believe you have to pay to join both. I'm not sure about Redweek, but TUG is $15 per year and it's a great resource for anything involving timeshares.

Resorts such as Emerald Island (3 miles from Disney, villas up to 7 bedrooms), Windsor Hills (2 miles from Disney, villas up to 6 bedrooms) and Champions Gate (6 miles and the newest rental homes, these go up to 8 bedrooms) would easily cater for your party size.

We've stayed in the first two but not the latter as it's fairly new. We tend to rent direct from owners. Have found these sites useful for that if that helps:

Windsor Hills Private Rentals.com
Emerald Island Private Rentals.com
Champions Gate Private Rentals.com

We have stayed in both Windsor Hills and Champions Gate. We did CG last May and liked the location near I4 as we were heading to/from both Cape Canaveral and Tampa multiple times.

If you are going for two weeks, do you really want people to have to sleep on a sleeper sofa for 14 nights? What about two people in a twin or queen bed. If someone is used to two people in a queen bed at home, it might be alright, but going from a couple sleeping in a king at home to 14 nights in a queen could be rough.

If you were to stay at Vistana or another Orlando timeshare, could you possibly just book two 2BR units? We are planning a similar trip for ten people a few years from now and will likely go with two or even three units at an Orlando timeshare.

An important benefit to renting multiple units is that it gives the various groups their own space and privacy. It's not necessary for everyone to be together ALL the time; you get some time away from the whole herd.
