Hi all, to those who have had a wedding at Disney; How did you find time to plan your wedding? Do you plan in orlando? I saw on the disney wedding site theres a minimum of 21 days for an intimate wedding. Thats a long time going back and forth to orlando...can someone tell me how it works...

most of the planning is done by phone or email as many couples live across country, Canada and the UK so virtually impossible to keep travelling to Fl. Check out www.disneyweddings.com as they have info and a wishbook to get you started and give some ideas to help with the planning process. Also, when you get your date confirmed they have a list of available options and extra's that they send to you.

as dee slack said, most of the planning is done over the phone or via email.

When you book your wedding package, Disney assigns a Wedding Coordinator/Planner to your event. That person organizes everything from Disney's end, you basically just tell them what you want. If you have outside vendors (for photography, videography, and sometimes floral) you will be responsible for a good bit of the coordination, but they will work with Disney too. You are also responsible for contracting with an officiant for your ceremony.

It really is an easy process. I planned my wedding (very small and intimate) in about 4 months and I never visited Orlando until the day before my wedding.
