Just a quick queston - maybe I can get some advice. We own at SSR and stayed there this past easter and loved it. This past Sept, just dd and I went for a quick 5 day trip and stayed at VWL (got studio only 3 months out) and loved that. We really want to try AKV and would love it for this trip last year. My question is how hard is it to get a studio at AKV at 7 months? We would be going 11/21 to 11/30/08. Of course I am going to book SSR at 11 months out, but we really want to try all the DVC resorts and I only want to pull daughter out of school for the three days prior to their vacation, plus I have a Dec year use, so the points I have banked have to be used by end of 11/08. I would rather arrive on Thanksgiving night and stay the extra week after, but I don't want dd to miss that much school Sorry for running on with my thoughts, but I am at work and trying to type this really fast LOL!!!!

Seeing as AKV just opened this past September, there isn't any history on how hard it is to book 7- months out. That is a very busy time overall at WDW, so your plan of securing SSR at your 11 month window is a good idea.

That's what I figured. Maybe another resort would be easier to get into? We really want to try them all.

Sorry to go OT but how did you like Easter and would you do it again? We are doing Easter in March 16-24. I heard all about it being a zoo but...
Thanks
Chris

PS> where in NY? LI here.

We loved it and didn't find it too bad at all. Maybe we expected a lot worse than what was there. We took advantage of all the early mornings, took a break around 1-2ish, went back to SSR for a quick dip, change of clothes and then back to another park for dinner and continued fun. It was extremely hot, so the break in the middle of the day was well needed. It helped that the parks were open very late everynight too. The crowds were very manageable and having ADRS really was a necessity. We went to MK on Easter around 10 am and was surprised that it was not bad at all. We made use of all the fastpasses, and never had to wait more than 15 minutes for any ride. Since we are going Thanksgiving of '08, we will probably go next Easter (we have to rotate holiday weeks off at my job - small staff and everyone has kids). You will love it. Just pace yourself, know when to take a break and everything will be great. Oh, and by the way... Nassau County here!
