I am trying to get dates for my PS - I was just wondering do you recommend staying at a disney resort those days - my mom works for the hilton and I get a great discount.

What would you do?

Can you rent a car? Then I would say stay at Hilton.

I am normally an on property person and tell people who are vacationing to stay on property but if it just for the PS then save the money for the wedding

That what I was thinking why pay 100 a nite when I can get a room at the hilton for $35 a nite!

Yea we can rent a car - my dad works for a dealership and gets discounts thru thru the rental place..lol

Yeah for the PS you don't need to stay at a disney hotel. Its only 4 hours of one day. Then you are done. Save where you can.

Right and even if you are doing a menu tasting they will drive you there.

sorry to hijack but if your menu tasting is in a theme park do you need a park pass for that day? also when the tasting is over can you stay in the park?
We aren't activating our annual passes until the wedding because we want to use them again for our anniversary.

No - you don't need a pass to do the tasting b/c they drive you in backstage. However, you would need a pass if you wanted to stay in the park.

When we had our PS (a year ago this week!) we didn't want to activate our APs for the very same reason. We were taken into Epcot for the site visit and driven right back out again!
