Wow ... it's hard to believe that in exactly one week from today, we will be having our Planning Session! It seems surreal that there is less than 4 months until our Wedding.

Anyway, I'm looking for Planning Session tips. Is there anything that makes it easier? What should I bring? Any advice would be helpful.

Our coordinator is Claudine Sanchez ... does anyone have experience with her?

Thanks!! :cheer2:

My biggest tip is to take lots of pictures!

I haven't worked with your planner, but definitely have any questions you want to ask written down. Other than a few big questions, I couldn't remember everything I wanted to ask.

My other tip is not to assume anything. Make sure you have worked out every bit of the logistics of the day - from how your exit will work (if you're doing one), which guests should remain at the ceremony for photos with you, how transportation will work for you, etc. This is your one chance to meet and plan face-to-face so get as much planning and questions answered as you can!

I am a compulsive note-taker, so I brought pens and blank paper. Also helpful is to bring photos - Disney floral will want to see photos of your wedding attire, bridesmaid's and guys too. Any photos of decor, floral, cake, etc. are helpful in showing what styles you like.

Have a wonderful planning session!

One suggestion I have is to confirm all the details of your planning session with your planner. Make sure she knows all locations you want to see, who will be attending your tasting, anything special you wanted to taste either for the reception or cake and anything else you can think of. I would just double check all of that so you get what you are expecting. I have heard of mistakes being made.

Great thread... and great advice.. I was wondering the same thing as you, I will be getting married on May 27, 2007 at the Wedding Pavilion and Whitehall for reception. Next month, Sept. 22 I will go for my planning session.

I don't need to look at a bunch of locations just the ones I chose. I asked her to book a menu tasting too. She confirmed our plans are this:

9AM until 1PM Planning Session

wow that is a long time to figure out every detail.

2PM until 4PM Grand FLoridian to meet the Chef and have a menu tasting.

So.. ANYMORE ADVICE????? What should I expect at the menu tasting.. ???

Hi guys!!! Just got back from our planning session!! It was soooooooooo much fun and we were done at 11:30a.m. even though we were booked 9 -1 also. Our coordinator is Marion but she had a family emergency overseas so we had a fill-in- Chuck Rodriguez. We were very pleased with him. We did write down questions and Chuck really just walked through every detail with us. He answered all my questions before we even asked. :goodvibes

Have ideas of what you would like for centerpieces so you can talk with Floral about it. Definitely ask for a tasting session. You have to request that in advance, so if you haven't already, you should definitely request ASAP. That was one of the best parts!!!

Have fun!!! ;)

Rememer me? I have Marion too! So, I am so excited you just got back from your planning session. Could you go into more detail about what you did from the time you got there and the menu tasting. How did that work? I will be there next month, Sept. 22nd w/ Marion (if she is there)

OMG!!! Our Vow Renewal is the same day as yours. We are the first ceremony for the day, as far as I know- 10 am. We still don't have a date for our planning session, yet. I think I will call, next week, if we still haven't heard from our planner. We are at the WP-Citrico's-French Island Upper. We will be at the Polynesian, from Sept. 30- Oct. 5, so hopefully, it may be possible for us to get our planning session, within those dates.

Have fun at your planning session!!
