Planning session question?

I am having a custom wedding and I would like to go to Disney for my planning session the first week in Oct. I have not been assigned my EM as I am in the process of signing the contract with the SM. I am able to rent DVC points for the week we want to go assuming I can get a planning session with my EM. Does anyone know how flexible they are? Do they tell you when the session could be or do they plan around your schedule? I don't want to rent the points if its unlikely I can't get a planning session for that week.

Any advise would be helpful.

I told mine in Jan that we were thinking of coming in May and she was open that week so we scheduled with her and got the trip together!

As soon as we were assigned an EM in late February , we scheduled a session for May! Allison, when are you going to be down there? We will be there between the 20th and the 23rd!
