planning ressies 30 days out

Hello everyone. I am an avid planner and alwys plan our DVC trips at least a year in advance. I call the first day that I am eligable to make my ressies. Here's my issue, my DH just got a new job and they told him they only approve vacation days 30 days in advance (WHAT????). So for our planned trip in April, I would book in October (not staying at home resort). My concern is what if I book our trip and then 30 days out my DH can't get his vacation days? That means my points would go to a holding account right? Has anyone ever had this issue and is there anyway to get around it? I am up for any suggestions......TIA

Well, that is certainly a bummer. I might at least explain to them about the 31 day rule to see if the company would bend on it by one day.

But, yes, if you cancel 30 days or less, the points become holding points.

I know your DH just got a new job, but I'd say it's time for DH to look for another job.

We feel the same way. When a job starts interfering with our Disney trips, then it's time for the job to take a back seat.
