Hi Everyone!
So its been a while since I've been here. Our last trip to Disneyland was May 2012. I am excited to say that we are planning another one for May 2014
. We are planning on going with SIL, her BF and 4 kids. So it will be 9 people total. I started looking online this morning. I know its early, but I'm a planner. I went to GetAwayToday.com, which is the same place I used last time for our trip. However this time there are not nearly as many hotel options and the one we want (Fairfield Inn) wasn't even on there. I'm wondering if its just because its to early? I went to the Fairfield website and it will only let me look at dates through Dec.
Any tips on planning? Where can I get good deals/packages from? I dont have AAA, but I know sometimes you can still use them and get deals.
We are also wanting to go to a couple other places while down there. Medieval Times being one of them. DS LOVED it last time.
SIL and family also were looking at doing Universal Studios. I'm not entirely sure I want to do this one. DH and I went in 2005. While i thought it was really cool to see where movies/tv shows were made and had fun on the rides.... there didn't seem like a lot of other stuff to do or a lot of young kid friendly things. I'm just not sure its worth the money for me. Anyone been recently have thoughts on this?
I'm thinking maybe Sea World. I went when I was really little (2-3) and dont remember it. I'm wondering if it's would worth it for a day.
Any other places or tips? We are planning for about a week (5-7 days), 3 of those days in the parks.
Also, is it worth it to pay the extra for the park hopper, or should we just get 1 day of park hopper? Last time we went we didn't spend much time in California Adventure at all. They were still doing construction then, but still, there isn't a whole lot that catches our eye there. The main things is Car's land, GRR and Screaming Mickey.
