Planning on staying off-site next year...........

Ha ha Elaine - that Concierge told you then! :lmao:;)

I think a lot of people don't bother with breakfast early on (or late on) at the DLH. In fact, on the times I've been there it's always been the Italian families (and some other European nationalities who I didn't recognise) who are keeping the bar open on an evening and who don't seem to bother too much with EMH :confused3. Everyone to their own ;). The mornings we were there early it was nice, not hectic at all. The times we didn't make breakfast until about 8.30 am, it was still nice but noticeably busier. Can't comment on much later on as never tried it but will be in June :thumbsup2.

Elaine (Ware Bears), yes, for DLH prices, you would hope that hotel guests get priority with breakfast, but sadly these days, nothing surprises me with Disney and the money making machine! :eek:

We had breakfast after EMH on two mornings we were there, so got there about 9.45 - 10 and it wasn't overly busy. We lingered for ages, particularly as my brother was making absolutely certain he got his money's worth!! The third morning we had to be there when the restaurant opened, and we had to queue for a while along with everyone else who wanted to get their first breakfast items on their plate.

When I enquired at the concierge desk the day before we wanted to eat there, the lovely lady concierge there said "this is the Disneyland Hotel madam, no need to make a reservation for breakfast here".

Very classy!! ::yes::

It still seems mad that they just let anyone come in and eat breakfast. When you pay the DLH prices (I know when we did back in 2007) you just think you're the only ones using their facilities you know? Can't imagine staying there and seeing these long breakfast queues and thinking to myself.....hmmmm....wonder how many of these are 'outsiders' :furious: :laughing:

We've stayed at the Explorers a few times (as per my signature!) and can't fault it. Ask for an early breakfast (if they still do the timeslots), we used to go down for breakfast between 7-7:30am and it was very quiet and peaceful. If it was a sunny morning they used to open up the terrace outside so you could eat out there. :goodvibes

Thanks! By what i've seen so far it looks like it'll be ok - think the kids will love the pool there. I'm planning on getting down to breakfast early every morning...well that's if we can all still manage it after a few days..! :laughing:

Despite us DISers knowing about this, and it being advertised in the DLH, I don't think a lot of folk actually do it. We treat our DLH breakfast as an attraction in its own right at DLP :).

i honestly didnt know about it!!!

so, what time is breakfast served til?? can i REALLY fit another thing into my plan?? :rotfl2:

least if i have the info, i can make a decision later..... early brekkie at cheyenne 7am, 2nd brekkie at disneyland hotel, then late snack at salon mickey.....

wont need any more food then lol

breakfast is served from 7.30am to 11am at the DLH :).

And at the New York too. ::yes::

I think it's something that's only happened over the last few years. When we'd dined at Inventions on previous trips there wasn't a sign outside advertising it yet last year it was one of the first things I spotted whilst we were waiting to be seated.
