My husband and I are planning a trip to go to DisneyWorld in 2010.
We are asking reccommendations from friends and family, but nobody yet has any suggestions.
Can you suggest some hotels you been to or enjoyed?

There are so many resorts to choose from. I personally love Port Orleans French Quarter as a moderate, and the Poly as a deluxe. Stayed at the Contemporary last year, and I must say, I liked the rooms where as the main lobby/resort never wowed me. Previously we stayed at the Yacht Club, liked that too. Hard to dislike any of the resorts. Best to decide which area would you like to be in, ie, near Epcot and the Studios, or do you wish to be on a monorail for ease of returning to the resort for nap time, etc.

Moderate fave is Port Orleans Riverside. Quiet, wide spread so you can wander around the grounds.
Deluxe fave is Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge. Love the pool at both event though we aren't pool people. They are really nice. The beach at the Beach Club is a great place to relax and take pics.
My kids love Animal Kingdom but it's soooo far away from everything.

Never stayed at a value, and probably never will. Not my kind of vibe.

Since Elli is only 3, I personally would stick close to Magic Kingdom.

We (when it was just DH & I) stayed at All-Star Movies, All-Star Sports, and Pop Century (on different trips). Loved them all. Sports was my least favorite, and at Pop Century, I thought it was a MAJOR HIKE from our room to the bus stop. Other than that, they were good.

The only mod we've ever stayed at was Caribbean Beach, and that was this past October. We were in one of the Pirate rooms. I did not like it, and neither did DH. I really felt like we had more room when we were in a value (and by this time, we had DS with us). We were only there one night, but the food court/main pool were a haul to get to.

For Deluxe, we (through DVC) have stayed at Animal Kingdom (my very, very favorite), Beach Club, Saratoga Springs, and we're doing Boardwalk in June. I LOVE them all. The pool at Beach Club is amazing. Of those, Saratoga Springs is my least favorite, but I still love it!

Have fun planning!!
