planning Oct. trip..shorter park hours?fireworks??

Hi everyone! We are planning a trip for the first week in October..Our first trip was in May..I know that park hours are probably shorter in October...I am wondering do they still do the fireworks every night at Magic Kingdom like they did in May??? Thanks so much for your help!

In October the MK will close several nights a week at 7pm due to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. You can go to the WDW website and plug in October for park hours- a safe bet is any night the MK closes at 7, there probably won't be fireworks/night parade. I do believe Wishes and Spectro should be running on all other nights though but maybe someone else has a better answer

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a Halloween-themed special event held in Magic Kingdom theme park that requires a separate ticket to attend. Dress up in your favorite costume and get ready to treat-or-treat.

As you can see, on the nights of the MNSSHP, the park closes at 7pm and Wishes will not be taking place. However, the MK does put on a fireworks show during MNSSHP called HalloWishes, which takes place each night of the event at 9:30pm. Either way, there will be fireworks each night at MK...this should help you plan your schedule

Yes, any night the MK does not close at 7:00 for the Halloween Party, they will have Wishes. Spectro may not be every night that they show Wishes however.

DHS will show Fantasmic 2-3 times per week.

Epcot will have Illuminations nightly.

The Halloween Party can make it a challenge to coordinate. For example, when we last went in October, there was a night I wanted to do the Halloween Party, but that was only one of two nights when Fantasmic was running! Planning ahead is key to an Oct. trip because you never want to show up at MK, burn a ticket and then find out its closing early for a hard ticket event and you are out of luck with fireworks!

Its a wonderful time to go however and if you don't mind shelling out the money, do attend one of the Halloween Parties at MK, its a very fun night!
